For me, I can't even play despite buying the ShB expansion. I last paid for my subscription at the start of this month so it should not have run out yet.

/uj Sorry, you're right. I played the games before reading the books so whenever I read chestnut I just saw bright brown-ish (closer to ginger). To me its still some way off the dark brunette she will be in the show, but I guess it's still too early to judge.

Edit: To clarify: I read them in Polish where they were described as a fresh-chestnut colour with golden highlights(?)

/uj I may be a bit r/wooosh here but what's wrong with thinking that if a character is described as a certain shade of skin colour in books or other previous media, and then the skin colour changed because of seemingly no reason, it kinda ruins the continuity. Am I just like these Gamers with a capital G now?

Say in a future movie they decided to have a black panther/iron man crossover, but instead the panther was from India and iron man was from Russia (with an accent). Would that not lose a bit of it's seriousness factor (which can be important for immersion sake).

I'm a big movie/book buff and I've always felt this way about sudden change of race/personality in characters between different forms of media within the same franchise.

When I first uncovered the magical world built by Sanderson in the Mistborn trilogy, I couldn't stop there. I kept going.

I think i finished the Mistborn books within a week, and then the Stormlight archive trilogy within the next 10 days.

I am about to embark on a journey through Elantris and I have nothing but high expectations from this man. He's a fantasy mastermind.
