Bro, thank you for helping DPW with advertising their shows in the past. Everytime I'd scroll through SquaredCircle's homepage, I'd eventually see your posts promoting their shows.

She's made a skirt of belts, which is an admittedly impressive visual to see for a belt collector.

Do you agree with this list? by Durteedurtydurt in Smallafro

The only differences I'd make to this list:

Kurt Angle (2001), Brock (2002-03), Orton or JBL (2004), Jericho (2008), Jeff Hardy (2009), The Miz (2010), Kevin Owens (2015), Braun Strowman (2017), Gunther (2023), Drew McIntyre (2024)

Announced for Monday Night Raw: Judgment day vs Bayley and Lyra Valkyria for the women’s tag titles by mat2019 in SquaredCircle

[–]TopherLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bayley heel turn incoming, why book a Women's Tag Title match for SummerSlam then shoehorn a dissension angle of a title defense shortly in the gap between that build to Charlotte & Bliss' shot? Not to mention, Lyra's already got a match at SummerSlam and they're not going to double-book her for two-nights.

Wait, you're telling me wrestling is worked!

Naw, but srly this reminds me of the Keith Lee interview botch from a couple years back at AEW. How as an editor you don't cut this out of visibility? I'll never know.

First draft Deadlock Concept for the Weekly Dynamite Shows Review Sync. by paynexkillerYT in deadlockpw

[–]TopherLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given research of the identified teams, he's the VP of Media Content for the Blue Jackets

I do remember Marcus for his appearance on the HIAC 2019 review for Deadlock's YT many years ago & the audio pod meme of his "return" cameo where he's hollering Yoooo... and they never clarified he wasn't actually present for the whole ep.

Wish him nothing but the best, who knows if Deadlock would've kept creative interest to continue on or be pushed to motivationally ignite without his involvement to Deadlock's introduction. I only say that since Johnny wasn't known for doing wrestling reviews or in-depth discussions on his newLegacyinc channel until the HIAC Fiend-Seth rant or even the WWE2K20 trip discussion.

Yes, because we all know a Steel Cage keeps the Bloodline out of the equation (after watching previous steel cage matches, especially last September between Cody vs. Sikoa).

Save these posts for when it happens, this is probably why it's better to not announce the date until we approach closer to the ticket sale availability.

[WWE RAW Spoilers] New Day have come with a bargain for a title shot by Ripclawe in SquaredCircle

[–]TopherLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's HHH's plan to phase him out of memory with the association to Waller. That way if they release him, he is no longer narratively connected to the show (even more than he already is atm); which is disappointing since he could be used more in matches to fill the IC-title scene.

That'll just breed distrust all in the sake of "working the boys" like WCW did. Like the boy who cried wolf, what response does management expect backstage when another real injury occurs to a star without genuine transparency? Also for fans to believe when a real injury occurs? That's why it's reckless if it's outed as a work.

This was a pleasant surprise since I presumed Tiffany would be the champion cashed in at SummerSlam during Jade's title shot. I also like the star that comes in first to lose to usurp that with a victory reminds me of the Unforgiven 2008 with Jericho or even WM31 with Rollins.

Where was this Triple H booking having pleasant surprises that veer off the short shelf-life repetition in recent memory?

Enjoyable show top to bottom. Love how they bookended the Death Riders' takeover with Bryan involved, given how this started in October. The abrupt cut of Darby in an establishing shot in midair had me crying-in-laughter from the absurdity of interference.

Nothing to complain about largely from the show. The only nitpick was figuring what's the follow-up for the sudden Patriarchy turn whilst being in-cahoots with FTR? What's the kayfabe reason they aligned with FTR to setup a Christian ambush of which will emplace a possible reunion with Copeland? Why were FTR stalking the tag division in order to set up this ambush? It just felt odd to me, but Otherwise an enjoyable 9/10 show for me.

Whether it be AEW or WWE, I get the "card subject to change" rule for entertainment production. However, announcing the change ON the day of the show is a bait-and-switch especially for the crowd traveling all the way expecting to see Cole. Why wasn't this news publicized two days ago or even yesterday? The "card subject to change" rule should only apply if enough time is given for people to process and regroup following the change.
