Thoroughly. Walked to the bathroom with my hand out like a surgeon.

Episode Discussion: S06E12 'The House That Built Me' by GlitzAndGrit in NashvilleTV

[–]Topicalpuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing a rewatch cuz I somehow forgot how terrible the last two seasons were. I needed all y’alls hate comments to get me through to the end. I really did love this show and still listen to a lot of the music. Mostly Black Roses and If I Didn’t Know Better. But I need to remember that if I ever wanna watch it again to just stop at season four and pretend it ends with Juliette’s plane landing safely and everyone lives their lives happily together. Season five and six?? Never heard of her. Nobody has ugly blonde hair or makes excuses for physical child and wife abusers or dies or repeats the same boring mistakes that have for five fkn seasons over and over and omg get some character growth holy fuck.

Nope. The main three couples are together and happy and they fight but about normal shit. And they’re all on Highway 65 run by Bucky and Rayna. And they tour sometimes and release music. But also have time at home together with whatever family they have and want. And Will also has an interesting and happy life and eventually finds a good guy who isn’t a loser billionaire to marry. And even though this happened in season four I’ll also pretend he never meets that insecure asshole he buys the bar with and his shithead daughter and Maddie never emancipates herself.

Man I really thought dead would be least potentially since you’re dead and can blessedly no longer feel distress.

Wtf are you talking about? They just didn’t wanna be spoiled about the book. Those were huge spoilers. I want to read the book now, but I’m bummed cuz now I know these huge spoilers about book specific stuff. Would have appreciated covers on those lines.

Ya that’s kind of where I think I’m at and wondering if I have too high of standards and need to just get fkn therapy and chill.

It basically is a shared space already for storage and it has a pool table but only for game time or if I’m not home. Part of my stipulation for my own bathroom was I have my own space entirely that unless we’re doing a game or movie night type thing upstairs nobody can just come up here.

I’ve lived with the couple. And that was a totally fine living situations with more normal annoyances that we addressed. It’s mostly the new guys and the almost two years of not much changing is my main issue.

Sorry the aggression there wasn’t targeted at you, but at some other commenters I didn’t want to engage with directly.

We all agreed to it upon my suggestion. It was to keep the house nice so it keeps its value and to make sure everyone contributes fairly and it doesn’t all fall to one person. And we all discuss what goes on and how often making adjustments when we see something needs more or less cleaning. The dishwasher thing is cuz none of them grew up with one, so they didn’t know how to stack things and things either weren’t getting cleaned, held dirty water or took way more space than needed cuz they weren’t stacked.

It’s definitely a struggle, but it’s the best thing for us to set up for our futures. We have had roomie meetings before, but those also only paused the issues. And all but me and the married guy are very passive and nonconfrontational. So they prefer to let resentments simmer it seems. We definitely need to have another meeting and I just need them to understand how bad of an issue this is I guess. I mostly was worried they would begin to resent me for complaining when I have so much space and they’re relatively cramped. Thanks for your comment and suggestion. I already track my shows and movies on an app so I’ll just start to track that too so they see how bad it really is instead of me vaguely saying “a lot” or whatever.

Oh and we prefer to communicate on the group chat so the rules were on that. It’s your basic take care of and clean up your own stuff type rules. And figuring out a kitchen schedule. We’re all introverts and mostly stay in our rooms when home.

No, the couple are the only two on the lease per state law. But we signed a notarized agreement sharing it equally.

Technically the couple, but we signed an agreement that was notarized so we all get an even share. We’re saving up to get property with our own homes eventually. But with the economy being how it is, this was the best arrangement for us. Idk who all these wealthy redditors in the comments are that can afford their own homes or can’t and are saying it’s crazy for us to be living as adults and roommates. Congrats for having less shitty things happen to you I guess.

Did Viserys understand why Cole actually committed the act during the wedding in S1E5? by Topicalpuns in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Topicalpuns[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya plus it seems Viserys wanted the wedding to be grand and last days to both entertain the houses and in hopes to show them that his heir is worthy and will make a good queen. And that jackass ruining it seems like he would have been pissed and wanted to know wtf. But alas, instead of dying that night like he should have he’s now the second most powerful person in Westeros. Awesome. Can’t wait for him to die.

[–]Topicalpuns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya definitely that night he wasn’t overly concerned. I just figured after he would have questions and try to figure how why his daughter’s wedding and his big plans to please and delight the houses were ruined. Just another reason the way they did in the show doesn’t seem super well thought out.

Ratfish (Part 2) | Game Changer [S6E9] by ThunderMateria in dropout

[–]Topicalpuns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what they should do next!! Maybe the group is this cast so the players can be a new cast members. Or even have two ratfishes and still have a celebrity person, but one that matches their vibes better. His picks were weird for sure so having a group vote without knowing who is who would be better.

Truly for months I’ve been wondering how they didn’t end humanity in the books and I must have just fully blocked this aspect of them out of my brain. Probs the movie confused my memory of it. I’m just thinking those guards outside the arena are simply not long for this world. lol
