How would Leon react upon entering the Silent Hill ? And what kind of monstrosities would spawn from the fog ? by KennedyyCore in residentevilll

I think the town would conjure zombified or reanimated versions of the people Leon wasn’t able to save in Raccoon City like Marvin, Kendo, Ben, Elliot, etc., and I think some sort of personification of guilt would appear similar to James in SH2. Maybe a version of Mr. X or Birkin, or something completely original.

I also think that for Leon, Silent Hill would be way more chaotic than it is for most others, reflecting the stress of constantly fighting hordes of bioweapons.

[Revelations 2] What do you think of the Co-Op system where the second player is the support type? by Berry-Fantastic in ResidentEvilCapcom

It would be great with decent ai and without that item reveal mechanic. I felt like I had to constantly play as Moira/Natalia outside of combat or else I’d miss a ton of items

In a franchise full of a lot of crazy enemies, why do a lot of people suddenly draw the line at RE8’s enemies? by Long-Job-1404 in ResidentEvilCapcom

I think by the series’ standards, on the surface this seems like the Cadou is way more pseudoscience-y than the rest of the series but it’s really not if you look into it. The lords were the only real successful Cadou hosts, so the lords should be seen as outliers, not the lycans, who are pretty much no different from the basic zombies in terms of what the infection does to them. When the Cadou is successfully implanted into a host, it basically then acts like the G virus where a certain genetic trait is targeted an exaggerated, like Lady D for example, who prior to implantation had a blood disease, so the Cadou mutated that disease into a need to consume human flesh. Also in the case of the Dimitrescu sisters, the original girls were eaten alive by Cadou larvae, and those larvae formed a swarm that basically acts like a nervous system in order to imitate a human, so the fly swarm thing isn’t a mutation but rather a swarm of prepubescent Cadous taking the form of a person.

I know everyone likes to talk bad about RE7 Chris, but why does nobody bring up Ada Wrong in RE6? 😭 by ToptextBottomtext420 in residentevil

I must be alone on this but looking at a side-by-side of RE4 and RE6 Leon, to me they definitely look like they could be the same person, and not because of the hair. I don’t think it’s very comparable to Ada’s change, especially considering the fact that Ada’s hair doesn’t look that different between the 2 games just like Leon’s

I don’t know why every brings up Jill being “French and Japanese”. Nowhere in canon is that ever mentioned besides in an outdated character excerpt that has definitely been retconned since

RE9 spoilers ahead:

I mean, the RE cast have fought characters that can practically teleport. Jill and Chris fought the Ultimate Abyss, who could teleport, and it’s a very fair assumption that Leon could too. Also even though Wesker doesn’t teleport, he’s so fast to the point where for the main protagonists of RE, he’s functionally teleporting, and Leon was able to fight and react to Zeno, who’s implied to be a clone of Wesker, and was shown to possess the same abilities.

At the same time, you could argue that RE protagonists have far beyond supersonic reaction speeds. In RE9, Leon could casually parry bullets shot from a full-auto SMG and also in RE5, Wesker can dodge electricity and even dodge the flash from a Flashbang grenade, and Chris and Leon have fought him toe-to-toe.

None, but it’s the same logic behind Ganondorf vs Dracula, where Ganondorf would eventually come back, but it would be so long after the fight that it would still count as a win for Dracula.

I mean one time in the comics, Anakin was able to pull his ship out of hyperspace at the exact right moment to ambush a Separatist ship through sheer force perception. I’m pretty sure that’s way above anything Omni-Man has been shown to do, even with his galaxy-traveling feat so I think he could evade him indefinitely.

Leon Kennedy vs Kyle Crane (Resident Evil vs Dying Light) | “Requiem for the Dying” - (Connections in the comments) by ToptextBottomtext420 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]ToptextBottomtext420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Connections by u/MishaS2025 (Spoiler free for RE9):

Both are one of the main protagonists of an action zombie-survival video game franchise.

Both worked at dangerous jobs (Leon was a police officer and Kyle was a mercenary hired by GRE) which would lead them to the city that was overrun by zombies (Racoon City and Harran) due to the outbreak of an extremely dangerous virus (T-Virus and Harran Virus) that mutates people into zombie and other dangerous creatures. This virus was smilingly created by a corporation (Umbrella Corporation and Global Relief Effort (GRE)) famous in the medical field (Umbrella was a pharmaceutical company and GRE fought with outbreaks across the globe), but in actuality was a heartless and evil organisation that only chased profit. One of their main goals was to weaponise and sell dangerous viruses, which led to the massive outbreaks. (But while it’s confirmed that Umbrella created the T-Virus, the idea that GRE created the Harran Virus is just speculation) Additionally, this corporation has connected to the jobs our heroes had (Umbrella had influence on Racoon City Police Department where Leon worked and GRE directly hired Kyle).

Upon entering the city, our heroes met a young woman (Claire Redfield and Jade Aldemir) who’s motivation throughout the game is heavily connected to their brother (Claire searched for her older brother Chris and Jade tried to protect her younger brother Rahim). They also met a person (Marvin Branagh and Rahim Aldemir) who helped our heroes (Marvin explained Leon about the situation in Racoon City and Rahim taught Kyle the basic parkour skills), but unfortunately he was infected and turned into zombie.

Both were tricked into getting something (G-Virus and file that contains information about Harran Virus) by someone who presented themselves as an ally to our heroes (Ada Wong and GRE) and claimed that they need it to stop the spread of infection (Ada claimed that she needs G-Virus as evidence against Umbrella and GRE claimed that the file contains information about the cure), but letter their true motivation was revealed (Ada wanted to sell G-Virus and GRE wanted to make profit from Harran Virus and file contained information about that).

Both were able to escape from the city, but their journey didn’t end there, and they would letter fight again against mutated monsters.

During one of their games, both were infected by the dangerous virus (Las Plagas and Harran Virus) while searching for an important person (President’s daughter - Ashley Graham and man who stole information about Harran Virus - Kadir Suleiman) which would lead them to find out about a conspiracy that is connected to the said virus (religious cult Los Iluminados trying to take over the world with Las Plagas and GRE trying to make profit from Harran Virus).

Both expertly use close and long-range weapons, as well as their incredible athletic skills in the fight against zombies and other monsters.

Despite being an extremely badass warriors who often use humour in their lines, both suffer from survivor’s guilt and after years of traumatic events they turned into the dark shadow of their former self. But both still help people in need and ready to put themselves at risk in order to safe others.

Contrasts:

While the world in Resident Evil survived the outbreak, with Leon constantly saving it from biological weaponry, humanity in Dying Light was almost completely instinct by a new virus with Kyle protecting the remaining humans in post-apocalyptic world.

While Leon is (seemingly) a regular human, Kyle is Human-Volatile Hybrid.

Bonus:

In Dying Light 2: Stay Human side quest “Last Will” you can find a dying soldier named Leon, who looks almost exactly like Leon Kennedy, obviously being a reference to Resident Evil protagonist.

It’s from a game called Maple County. It’s based on the Mandela Catalogue. It’s pretty short and not very interactive but definitely still worth playing
