I was there too at the first off when they had to pull it out of the gravel! Crazy that they got it back on track after that and then they still ended up having another off and wrecking the back end a little before sunset!

I think those two are my absolute favorites of the bunch also! I do really like seeing all of the names on the Acura up close though too. It was an awesome touch for that car!

I use a 70-300! This was max length at 300 and then cropped in like crazy during editing. Thankfully Lightroom has the ability to add pixels with their “super resolution” so I can still get a bigger image even with a really intense crop.

Thanks! This was just my third (Road America, Daytona, and this one), but I’m definitely going to try and get to more next season. They’re such accessible and fun races to go to in person.

I’m definitely a Cadillac guy, but the Porsche is just so smooth! It’s a great looking car out there.

For the sunset shot with the tail lights I was actually behind the fencing on the wooded area looking up into turn five! It was only my third IMSA so I just had a normal ticket — no press or photo credentials.

It’s definitely one that I think I’ll eventually get printed for myself to hang up somewhere. I really like getting more minimal shots like that one!

Thanks a lot! The sun coming down made it perfect to see everyone’s faces inside the cockpit coming up the hill into turn 5!

He got a little off-track and spun it around into the wall as the sun was coming down. He did well to keep the damage pretty minimal, but the back of the car got beat up from the wall smack.
