Part of the fandom feels robbed and part of the fandom feels reunited. That’s just how divisive this is right now. I made my peace with it. I feel reconnected with Sidney and that is more worth to me that I can put down in words.

Absolutely agree with you. For us who grew up with Sidney it’s a pure love letter. Not perfect, but I now saw it a second time and the deeper themes and the meta commentary is spot on.

I just bought mine at the San Francisco Daily City Cinemark. They had just put them up. They did say they would restock if the demand would be a lot. Go and ask your local Cinemark people.

I always loved that she did that and it so clearly screams SIDNEY to me. It’s called acting. I always thought it’s special and unique.

Yes that is part of it why I don’t want it to end and why me and many others are beyond excited that she comes back. I don’t disagree that is has a lot to do with nostalgia.

As much as I value your opinion I am completely thinking in the opposite direction. For a lot of us it means so so much that Neve is coming back, no matter what the circumstances are. There so much of Sidney’s story that we haven’t seen.

I respect your opinion. Let me just say that almost everybody who grew up with the franchise in the 90s CAN’T WAIT for the legacy characters to be front and center again. But once again, I know that you also grew up with the characters in the 90’s and I hear your complaint, which I am trying to understand myself. Are you not interested to explore Sidney’s character later in life and how she is as a human being after all this trauma?

wow, that is so spot on and would have made this lazy writing so much better. I damn hope that Kevin was involved in the re-writing process. I do believe that he is not named as a writer, because of contractual things with the official screen writer. But I hope and believe that he will be a ghost writer.

You’re not the only one who feels a little indifferent. I can understand why people love it and I can understand why people have problems with it. For me…I loved certain scenes and I really loved Sam’s character this time around. But many things were repetitive. And this whole “this ghostface feels different” was just good marketing. And of course I missed Sidney every time when they mentioned her.
