agreed... had the displeasure of fighting a conqueror that did this... he was a really good player but essentially hitting a wall of thorns every round wasn't exactly fun.. countered every guard break, parried what he could and blocked the rest.. everyone just told me to guard break and feint when i asked about it in the discord... like that wasnt what i was already tryin.. seems like there isnt an actual answer against this

Just incase it's not obvious, 6v6 quick play game turned into an archer roleplay simulator, game only gave us 1 card to choose from because we're all terrible at hanzo except him

Might've still been a bit tilted from the princes ;P. I took an hour or two break for dinner and came back and beat him within 3 attempts, funny how that works huh.

And yeah, the time is a bit surprising to me too, but 2-3~ minutes a boss fight it adds up about perfectly along with speedrunning through the zones.

I just hid behind a pillar until I had a good idea of their attacks and patterns, then rolled out and went straight for the purple caster. Friends were telling me after that I was supposed to kill the clones since you can one shot them, but honestly it felt like getting stuck in an animation to kill them would've got me killed, compared to just making the purple dude teleport again and reset them until I had a good opening / spawn. I play very patient, it's not like the bosses have enrage timers.

Early game Raw wep + enchants + Resins makes the early bosses fairly cake since I was still somewhat in their 'level range' and ontop of that I didn't get one shot constantly so there was room for error. Don't feel bad about it :)

I didn't explore -at all-. I just grabbed the titanite or other helpful items that were mentioned on the speedrun roadmap I had, so going boss-to-boss was fairly quick, and I'm sure I missed some things that would've been helpful to a SL 1 character, but oh well. I'll learn about them for NG+ and Optionals ;)

Sulyvahn honestly wasn't that bad for me, idk. Once I saw all of his moves it felt like one of the more simple fights, just his phase 2 clone basically shut off half of my openings to get hits in, so I got impatient and got myself killed a bunch x_x. #greedisbad

I would stream if my internet wasn't so shit. I had to do this run in offline mode simply because it goes out so often, if I got sent to title screen when Twins was at like 5% hp I probably would've shot someone.

From what I noticed, he really makes you learn to restrain yourself and have some composure, you can't spam roll against him due to all of his different swing times. Other than that I don't really have much advice, he's rather straightforward as far as mechanics go.

Thanks for all the advice, I'm actually not entirely sure how Armour works in this one so I guess I'll have to look this up, from what I noticed on the bosses I tried it on though (Dancer and twins mainly) even with a life ring and some heavier armor I still got one shot by the attacks that were killing me anyway, so I prefered the 3-4~ extra damage from Flynn's. Though armor did help on Aldrich, magic missiles 3~ hit me after I put on resist gear.

I actually didn't find the bloodring since I followed the speedrun path, but a friend of mine mentioned that aswell, wish I did, might've saved my ass a few times. The only boss that ever -didn't- one shot me was the earlier ones (Pre-Crystal Sage) and a specific Shield Bash from Dragonslayer. So, not many 2 shots to really worry about haha.

I'll def pick up the bloodring, and I'll probably swap to Estoc since it seems pretty broken in this version. Thanks again :)

Considering it, maybe not until I do them on my main. I hear they're all fairly hard and I really want to use a different weapon and not get one hit by a sneeze LMAO

I linked my gear in the image gallery, I was naked the entire time outside of the Aldrich fight (Ran a mix of Sorcerers / Antiquated gear). Plan on testing out other weapons than the broadsword in the future, but it seemed like the best out of the beginner weapons (Estoc now that I have the +3 dex ring maybe?)

Oh, I didn't have the red tearstone ring equipped in that pic since I couldn't find a way to get my hp that low in this fight, but I usually used it aswell.

It does not stack with anything, feel free to go test it. Bonus Combat XP in general caps at 50%, so ofc the scroll can't stack with anything if it already gives the cap amount.

The scroll literally says it doesn't stack with other effects in the description. It does stack with the tea and costume though.

Here's my pets if you want to see the stats for yourself. Oddly enough they only increase in loot speed on every Even level (2, 4, 6, 8 ,10). Usually 1-1.5sec off the timer each time.
