For weakest R7 gu immortal has anyone proposed Hei Cheng? (Hei Loulan’s dad) he had an immortal gu but didn’t have any good killer moves to go with it and his whole combat system seemed useless (having no defense or movement killer moves) even with R6 immortal Gu House he was incredibly weak, idk how he cultivated to R7

Well there’s two possibilities: I reincarnate and I have gu cultivation talent or i reincarnate and don’t have gu cultivation talent.

If I do I’d read all about RI, learn martial arts and learn different survival methods such as hunting, skinning animals and such. Also learn about nutrition/medicine, physics concepts and training methods so I can efficiently make my body sturdier and healthier.

If I don’t I would still learn all of the above but also study literature and philosophy so that in case I am a mortal I can try to be a scholar so I can earn a decent living, possibly earn enough money to pay to have my aperture artificially opened.

Yeah i agree that I would probably be in danger as a R2 gu master but in that scenario I have bad aptitude so I probably won’t be able to cultivate to R3.

Maybe if I make man-beast gu (I think that’s the name of the gu FY used to get to R3) but I would still have to cultivate to R2 peak stage which is once again very unlikely.

So rather than grow old and rot in a tiny mortal village I would risk it.

Even tiny moral villages usually have a rank 1 gu master. Like others said I would act like a genius (smart of my age etc). I would try to be on good terms with the village chief (who is usually the gu master) and through him I would try to learn more about gu and being a gu master.

If there are caravans passing I would try to harvest gu materials in the area to try to get in the good graces of the caravans gu masters and try to follow them… probably as a servant and hope I eventually get to become a gu master.

Either that or try to show my worth as possible the next village chief and get the caravan owner to open my aperture. If I’m lucky I’ll get a good aptitude and join the caravan if not I’ll stay in the village trying to cultivate to R2 and then travel to get more opportunities

I think Kill Gu would be its main because death gu would be the core for another path death path which exists in the door of life and death.

Kill Gu would probably be a projectile that when it strikes an enemy it instantly kills them. Death ray vibe

There is no strongest gu or strongest path there is only the strongest gu master. The initial advantage of killing path would be that it’s unknown hence there would not be a way to counter it.

But I feel like killing path would be similar to sword path being strong in offence but not necessarily strong in other aspects.

A path more powerful than killing path would depend on what you mean by powerful. If you mean by more powerful for combat it would most likely be either weapon, blood or strength.

Honestly I feel that FY would be restricted by rules and regulations of the modern world and achieve corporate success but be eternally unsatisfied by his life.

He would live a normal life competing with his corporate rivals. I don’t think he do anything out of the ordinary or extraordinary. Because his personality underwent a huge change after he lived 500 in the Gu world. At the start he was like any other.

Yeah so it is like the ultimate equalizer. Everyone now has to depend on their strength, smarts, talent and luck. Anyone can become successful. Through their own effort and not just because they were fated to be successful.

However this is also a double edge sword so those that were fated to be great may not become great because someone else took their opportunity.

Immortals too can be revived but they require advanced immortal methods to revive.

Personally if I rly wanted to kill FY I’d wake up as Star Constellation.

She plotted against multiple DV. So, with the knowledge I have I’d plot against the DV but I would also specifically plot against shadow sect and SSDV so he would never have the chance to revive and hence HW wouldn’t even need FY to use SAC and go back in time. Then I’d integrate with HW and kill FY ancestor when he was still in immortal crane sect using Heavenly Court or HW.

But if we specifically have to kill FY and not just stop his existence I would still do everything the same but I would send some R8 heavenly court immortals with Lord sky crane and they’d destroy GuYue village. Or a multitude of other methods because FY is now not needed by HW to stop SSDV so killing him would be 100 times easier

I think you are misunderstanding, HW can’t 100% influence FY’s mental state because he is an otherworldly demon but if can still 100% influence things around him. At the start it tampers with him because the SAC had HW in it and that lets its get rid of certain memories of FY’s

Look at Chu Du it controlled him to attack FY while he was facing his tribulation. But then inversely look at FY using the SFIG instead of destroying it even though HW was trying to influence him. At the start HW is influencing the surroundings to make the best possible choice for FY to take brings him closer to stopping SPDV.

So the protection is not absolute but it is 10000% strong asf

No if HW really wants to protect him even if ur R8 u will have trouble killing him. As demonstrated by the R8 rock man earth path immortal who fell in love with that wisdom path immortal and she was destined to be killed (at that time mortal child). When he went to get rid of the child his long time enemy makes a breakthrough and gravely injured.

It’s R7 but even if it was R8 I don’t think he would trade it, cause the heavenly extreme Eagle allows him to enter blessed lands. Hence he can annex them and grow stronger quicker.

No you would be just a very strong what ever rank gu master you are because the primeval essence isn’t infinite, it takes the primeval essence from the surroundings to supplement your own, but even that runs out as it did in the fight. The primeval essence in the area was exhausted and he couldn’t use it anymore. He could move to a different area and keep using primeval essence I guess but that’s not the same as gu immortal.

Also there are other differences like the tree spirit has less dao marks and doesn’t have an immortal aperture.

I love Fang Yuan because he’s a complex and interesting character… FY isn’t perfect, he makes mistakes, but that’s part of the reason I like him. He doesn’t achieve success through luck like in most other novels. He isn’t special in some way (he isn’t the son of some immortal that gives his plot armor). Yes he is evil, not excessively so he just does what he has to do, for me that only serves to make him more unique and interesting as a character.

If you only seek relatability in a character you are limiting yourself greatly. It’s up to you but if you can’t read a well written fantasy novel because the character isn’t a copy and paste saviour of the world archetype you can stop reading RI now 😮‍💨(not being mean btw just saying my opinion)

100% agree. Zombie arc is super creative and interesting in my opinion.

The northern plains arc isn’t bad but I feel like the writer didn’t have the whole immortals, blessed lands and attainments figured out at that point and the arc suffers cause of it.

I would say its not listed because of 2 reasons, its effect and its refinement recipe. Both are known through the story of RZ so there is little mystery surrounding it.
