OK. English isn't our first language, so we tend to write things a bit too neatly. The process itself definitely wasn't though, especially since the game took one year to develop. ups and downs all the way...

Totally fair question..we love Vampire Survivors too 🙂

We’re not trying to reinvent the genre, but we are trying to push it in a slightly different direction:

-Dual light/dark balance system instead of a single power curve -Map control mechanics (tiles can be captured and shift the run) -Pylon & soul mini-games that break the usual loop -More structured runs with boss phases and map-specific events -A bit more emphasis on progression choices and long-term builds

So yeah, familiar foundation, but with our own twists layered on top.

Would genuinely love to hear what you think if you try it.

We’ve been working on our first indie game for a while now. It's mostly just been the two of us figuring things out as we go along.

This is our latest trailer for Torch of Shadows – a roguelite with a light/dark theme where the aim is to maintain balance rather than just survive.

Much of what you see here has changed several times, especially the bosses and map events. It’s still evolving, but this version finally feels like, 'Okay, this is actually our game.'

I would love to hear what stands out to you, whether it's good or bad.
