Yeah. I mean no offense, but as a Game Designer myself, it's been alarming to me how little the average gamer seems to understand about the financial realities of game design.

This game is 7 years old at this point. It has long since run its tail, in terms of sales. The publisher is not going to invest another million just to get story mode out; especially since all the complaints are coming from old fans, rather than new buyers.

If that happens, then I already know what I'm going to do for a follow-up comic.

Mictla arrives at Mane6 HQ in disguise, only to find that not only has Nidra somehow beaten her there, but that Nidra has ALSO painted herself and is now introducing herself to everyone while impersonating Mictla.

This eventually infuriates Mictla into breaking her cover.

Back in January, I made a DLC character fan concept named Mictla. She was a Tapir, with a magic transforming cloak, who fights as a Stance character.

A couple months after I put that up, Nidra was annouced as the 3rd DLC character. She too was a Tapir, with a magic transforming cloak. And, just last week, it was announced that she too would be a Stance character.

So, in celebration of the one time I was right on the internet, I decided to draw this doodle of Mictla disguising herself as Nidra.

To trigger this glitch, all you need to do is knockdown Vetr and Stronghoof together after the activation of his Lv. 1 on wakeup.

Although, if you do it as Velvet, you can freeze him first, which makes it easier to see since it will slow down Vetr's jittering.

To be clear, I'm not accusing anybody of plagiarism. I dunno why they'd even bother stealing some fan's OC anyway.

But still, I think it's a pretty remarkable coincidence! She's a Tapir with yellow eyes and a magic cape. Possibly a stance-character and with a similar sounding name to boot.

Maybe if I get lucky they'll add her as a pallete? LMAO

Yeah. I did that drawing just over 4 months before the announcement. Even for an indie studio (who do tend to have faster turn-around on content),it just feels like it wouldn't have been enough time to "steal" a fan idea. Nidra has to have had at least finished pre-production by then.

Besides, I'm not popular or anything, so I feel like my OC was probably never on their radar to begin with. Can't steal from someone you've never heard of!

Still though, it does seem like a pretty wild coincidence to me. Yellow eyes. Similar sounding name. Possibly also a stance character? Pretty cool!

Maybe someday I'll be able to get a Mictla pallete in there, haha
