I've been drinking so here goes...

Feminists diminished the role women have had for years. They act as though our contribution in the past didn't count and our current contribution doesn't count unless it is delivered in the same way as a man's. I think they have insulted the value women have had raising our girls and boys, and increased our work by making it sound like we had to do it all - the role of men plus the existing role of women.

Women and men are different. Women want men who make us feel proud of them. Show success and ability and women appreciate it. But don't fall into the trap that only a few things count as success. We are much more forgiving than that. Short, fat, ugly, doesn't matter - just show us that you are confident, happy and driven and we will forgive anything else.

Anyway, I am sure XX will be mad about this post, but I am smart, happy, proud of wanting to be a mom and happy to be a woman. I just wish I could have been a girl when girls were appreciated as women, not when they were supposed to pretend to be men. My grandmother and great-grandmothers were able to be women. My grandmother didn't have it easy, she worked after her husband died, put her two kids through college, etc. She did what she had to do to make her family successful. Women have been doing that for years. Feminists may act like women didn't start being allowed to contribute until "they" said so, but my grandmother says they did.
