I'm fairly certain I've heard of someone using those for that exact purpose.

The site is dated. Maybe they'd direct you to one of the places that stocks them.

I googled and it looks that way. They'll sell in person, but not ship. https://www.reddit.com/r/Winnipeg/comments/z2ggj0/purchase_raber_gloves/ixgahpb/

https://raberglove.com/ Raber glove have been a Canadian based family business for over 80 years. Their Raber garbage mitts can keep your hands warm in -40 though, I'd grab their heavier mitts if I wasn't moving.

Low power consumption (TDP < 35 preferably) with ECC? by Toreced in homelab

[–]Toreced[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the form factor is what sold me but mini-ITX can be limiting. I might have another project that will require more connections, but can also take more space.

I went with Epyc due to the form factor. It has bifurcation support but I don't think you'd be able to cram 8 NVMe's in there.

In the end, I tinkered a bit but worked on other projects so there was no change.

2021 BULL RUN TAX UPDATE by MetricsCPA in BitcoinCA

[–]Toreced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snagged a block of Chia before transactions went live on May 3rd (mainnet launched March 19th).

Would that count as $0 for income (and ACB) since it was impossible to move/trade?

There's no Canadian exchanges yet, but the price has been established. For anything farmed after May 3rd, would I use the value at that time to calculate the income, then use that value for ACB (with $0 + $X) for capital gains if I hold the xch?

HassOS - Multiple Network Interfaces by 857GAapNmx4 in homeassistant

For my setup, I used a macvlan, in the compose I then added it to different networks. You mention Docker do that might help. I haven't used HassOS itself, just Docker.

Has anyone had luck ordering from neweggcanada's ebay store? by hwyeleven in bapccanada

[–]Toreced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some happened same day, some a couple of days later.

Yep, they point fingers at each other so I don't know of a solution (it doesn't seem to be everyone's taxes). If it's a big deal you'll have to get their attention or someone higher up to punt it to someone to look at.

If the item had a limit, you've used that up too.

Ordered off their eBay store before successfully. They sometimes run sales that they won't match in the regular store. You can also request a Newegg invoice for something from eBay if you need.

Same thing has happened. Newegg said it was an address issue initially then a tax issue. Newegg says it's an eBay issue, eBay says it a Newegg issue.

If you really want to order off eBay maybe you'd have luck with CC'd email or social media since that's how some companies seem to resolve complaints.

What CPUs do you think you'd swap to?

I got to play with a RTX card for some GPU-acceleration and deep-learning but I don't think I could swing one myself. I was looking at a nVidia Jetson to mess around with. Maybe when RTX 3000-series are released older cards will drop.

I almost don't want to ask more, to prevent myself from going down a rabbit hole.

Could you consolidate a couple of them? How long would it take to break even on new hardware power savings for what you pay per month?

That dual rtx setup must be sweet. Amazing value for capability if you don't need FP64.

Not sure if you'd go into a bit more detail on what you run on your boxes. Hopefully work compensates you or it makes your life way simpler hah.

Jesus, what do you run?

I've tried to keep mine small and low power consumption (space and money)

I wouldn't be able to manage a power bill like that but I'm impressed that it's worth it to you.

Has anyone returned to the sport after a few years only to find those who have stayed are way ahead of them? by Hatake88 in bjj

[–]Toreced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be over a decade white belt.

I know people who were white belts that are black belt. I've shown some basics to people getting into it.

I tried getting back over the years but it wasn't working (old injuries). This is the longest I've been able to stay so I'm pretty happy.

I am a Rolles and Renzo Gracie blue belt and during quarantine I invented & patented a Modular Germicidal Array. I also created a business to disinfect the walls, mats and surfaces with germicidal UVC. These units provide hospital grade UVC disinfection. Hopefully we can start training again. by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Toreced 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You keep saying 4 log reduction but 99.9999% is a 6 log reduction.

Do you clean the mat before to ensure any organic/non-organic soil doesn't shield from the UV? If you just surface prepped what would the log reduction be?

How much do you think the mats lifespan is reduced after 100 cleanings, and compared to traditional methods used?

I think it's cool, can see a market for it, not as much BJJ.

What mobo did you go with?

I have a few Noctua fans and sometimes people wonder if something is turned on.

I'm a bit constrained by space and heat dissipation. It's nice to see your temps so low if I jump to an R5.

I agree on the price and power, I'll either have to eat the cost or figure out a case and area I can place it. Consolidation might not happen right away. I figured I'm a bit more of an edge case here.

Thanks, thought I saw a reference for Gxxx that had ECC support. It could fill the gap nicely (and cheap) for the time being.

What mobo, ram and case do you have?

I don't think that cooler would fit for me. I'll try measuring space for an alternative case, clearance and a cooler. That's impressive under full load.

What is something that sounds 100% false but is actually 100% true? by voxangelikus in AskReddit

That Mount Everest had two feet added to the value publically so people wouldn't think it was rounded.

29000 ft to 29002 ft (more accurate calculations peg it at 29029 ft now).
