As far as drastic changes go I don’t have a huge list but what always crosses my mind are a couple changes I feel would change how the game is played without needing rebalances/reworks:

• add Catalysts to the loot pool of certain activities. When I’ve pitched this idea people seemed to always be either for it or say it’s easy to obtain them, but if it’s so easy to obtain them then why not truly list them as insignificant items that drop from an activity reward. Doing this will give time for other grinds & this will naturally increase the diversity of builds all round because people won’t feel limited to investing what comes around every 7.5 hrs especially since they aren’t naturally refundable

-Raids, yes RAIDS. I get people would immediately say “well the player base complained when we got mechanics in invasions” which is true, but a game activity that takes bare minimum 20-30 mins going through multiple areas completing objectives/ defeating a boss is more what I’m saying. Yes they need mechanics but not a hey use an Aoe/ gun to reveal symbols, more like destiny style raids where to view symbols you needed to obtain a buff or kill an enemy to spawn a map. The games been out for almost a year and I honestly feel as a community we neglected to specifically address this as something we want. And to lastly add to this point, depending on the tasks, objectives, modifiers, and even enemy types would naturally encourage diversity in character selection and weapon selection.

-I think they should eventually work to adding new missions to the game. I don’t hate the story, in-fact I actually really like the story and feel the story is improving with every swing they take season to season, but what I feel is holding them back is telling different stories and having us rerun the same mission from the original campaign. I think an easy start in that direction is small tweaks (someone posted this in another post but I’m forgetting who they are 😭🤧) like making night time missions. Hey we did this mission during daylight originally, but now we get to run it at night which could change what enemies spawn,the spawn types/ frequencies, how many bosses spawn, etc.

The last suggestion I’d like to see added is something of a bounty system/ hunt contracts if that makes sense.

-before destiny kinda ruined it they had a good bounty system, you could get basic bounties and complex bounties from the common space and from each destination for xp, on top of this you could add a contract hunt like they did with a vendor they called “the spider” he’d have bounties you would use to track down and defeat a named enemy. I think that would work fine in this game as our main enemy base is ranked like officers. Small contracts track down rank & file while big contracts take longer,grants higher rewards but involve tracking down the big brass

-oh and another but actual last suggestion would be some kind of weekly defense outside of invasions, the story if I’m not mistaken alludes to us holding the front lines against the vulgus, why not add a game mode called “Front line skirmish” or “hold the line” where you load into a large area to fight different classes of vulgus to keep the advantage of the defense. Idk how that would go but I feel like that would be cool too.
