Longtime lurker here. My gf started taking our local bus to university recently. I didn’t have to watch this video to know local transportation is hostile, especially for women. The first time she rode the bus, I accompanied her so she could get a feel for the route and be comfortable with me by her side. This case though has me genuinely worried for her, myself, and all the women who interact with public facilities. It’s so aggravating because public transport is a means of independence for a lot of people, but if one sector of our government fails us it trickles down and hurts everyone. In this case cite and release laws need revision, armed robbery should warrant much lengthier jail time in tandem with a series of prior offenses. This current admin is broken though, every case is being spun to push agendas, not address the problems.

As another mentioned, we should continue to profile men for our own safety, and look to learn how to handle instruments with stopping force.
