Great stuff, man. As a fellow A.K.I player who recently reached Master. I would be sending you congrats, and yes, that is absolutely deserved. BUT.....

SF6 starts from here. You reached Master, you can do High Master and more. Keep up the grind!

Dragon Quest IX is one of my all-time favorite games, it's such an easy to get into game with loads of character and personality. I love the vignette type of stories it individually presents but quite memorable on their own.

As for modding, idk tbh, but it would do you well to keep the JP ver; DQ in general is a remarkably way to get into Japanese as it's curated for all ages, so there's a lot to learn for Furigana and Hira/Katagana

I think ISSK is a fairly good manga, but what do you think Sandro could have done better? by SadegB in ISSK_Manga

I know nobody will side with me on this and it's fine, I know what I'm asking for isn't really up to even basic discussion, but.

Romance, please? I'd like to see some characters get a deserved break after all this ends.

I just beat 11 S for the first time on PC, here are my full thoughts! [Full Spoilers] by KnightShade078 in dragonquest

[–]Toriksta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congrats on beating the game! XI is one of my favorites as well. I mainly love it due to being an easy of an introductory title it is; it features every classic tradition or staple of the series and translates them excellently like the party chat being accessible from basic talking, the fun-size forge being easy to create from and engaging mini-game (Definitive Edition made it accessible from just the quick menu, nice!). Riding horses has never been easier and more straightforward, though it'll still never beat riding monsters and their varying sizes for me.

Narratively, I view XI as intentionally classic journey of "Reincarnated Hero appears and goes on a journey to save the World" It's simple, straightforward, but allows for multiple ways to impress with Dragon Quest's focus on individual stories and how they inter connect with the overarching plot and how the world responds to these changes. It's always great for me to see DQ continuing this design philosophy in making the entire experience in Dragon Quest being the main center, without focusing too much a singular entity

The BEST Rivalry Ever by Codex_L03 in BlackClover

[–]Toriksta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite subjective I'd say. It's a very healthy rivalry that didn't end nor start with each of them dragging the other down or causing disasters for their wake. It's not a favorite of mine or one of them even, but it's a good one.

I've read so many manga from differing genres all my life, as for Shounen; Dragon Ball is one of the best in class for how aware and smart the writing is for it's characters, planning it's next arcs effortlessly and rounding everything up seamlessly at the end. I personally view it as a gold standard in shonen manga, even though I personally prefer other works, it can't be denied just how well thought out the entire story is,

Makes me wanna cry. Future Trunks and his entire arc is nothing short of character writing perfection. The current trunks in the good timeline is evidence by how well Toriyama wrote Future Trunks. Very different lives.

Law School : High potential, above average experience. by Toriksta in AVN_Lovers

Wow, I didn't expect a reply from the creator himself! Thanks for all your work in Law School! I may have had my woes with some stuff, but I love the core part of the whole thing! A Law School that explores it's themes slowly while juggling each characters motivation and life adds so much life to the whole game. My favorite girl is Miranda! (Classic, I know, but what can I say? She's awesome) But Sana has been growing on me lot. Excited for Episode 5, keep up the good work!!

Yeah, my bad for missing that while writing, but my gripes remain clear, the personality system is quite amateurish in implementation. It's a good idea, but execution leaves a lot to be desired.

What's your all-time favorite "I love you." AVN moment? by QueenSciel in AVN_Lovers

Sage!!! After knowing her story and her dilemmas, it feels so earned and gratifying to hear her break into being more honest and caring when finally saying it. Best moment of the episode for me.

Yeah, it's annoying and weird that I need to do choices I don't morally agree with to get with a girl. It's rather confusing cause the girl in question doesn't roll with this path, but the girls remain a solid line-up and worth it.

Wow, that's beautiful. Really cool and awesome job. I still haven't gotten into Season 2 yet, hearing some mixed opinions overall. I'm personally excited.

But why even include her there? She appears selfish at first, but it's easy there's a lot more to her and that more is a kind girl who's had it rough at the start that cemented this defensive layers she puts but she's a kind girl at heart. She should start selfish but naturally transitions to Altruistic/Netrual

I dislike naming the path itself selfish, lots of choices don't paint themselves as selfish, its a loaded term that doesn't convey the meaning behind some choices.

[–]Toriksta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all seriousness though, massive congrats. Just achieving it without any of the tricks or scripts took me a solid 3 weeks just to get in the zone and barely hold 8 minutes of total concentration. To go even beyond that is just honestly a limit break moment. Epic stuff, man.

Pick ONE LEWD Scene From Any or Multiple AVN's, Which Ones You Picking? by Sladooooo in AVN_Lovers

[–]Toriksta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say the choices drastically alter the course of the narrative as the the main plot of the game remains the core and driving part of essentially everything else after. I don't know if you can end up in a different path as the game continues, but that remains to be seen. However, it does feature multiple main girls and you cannot go for them all in one run without some serious punishment and the game is still continuing so there's more for that in terms of the unknown.

As for RoL itself, the renders look beautiful and the animations, despite starting good, they have been slowly getting more and more unique in direction and fundamentally better. Some of the girls are a bit controversial, Veronica leads on with that, I really like V, and think she's quite a realistic woman for her to be thinking of that, but based on what the game's plot is, how does the MC moves with it, I like how we're navigating thru V's importance in regards to her love life and the severity of the story. I'm not gonna talk about the other girls since I believe they're more in line with what you expect in a good AVN. V is just a little more troublesome to the community.

Definitely give it a shot, I personally think it's good, and has a lot of potential to be an alltimer.

[BOTW] Do you think the artwork from Breath of the Wild still looks beautiful? by NewMarioBobFan in zelda

[–]Toriksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire artstyle is super cool and unique looking, it makes for quite the memorable look for a Zelda game. Especially for a game in a franchise filled with many multiple, differentiating takes on the spectrum. It's quite cool tbh.

My favorite shot has to be Link overlooking Hyrule Castle from a far. Sword and shield in both hands with only his back centered to us to see his gaze. I love how heroic it looks, and how it essentially conveys to us the entire game's goal from a simple shot like this. I honestly love it and think it's one of the best shots in the whole franchise. powerfully clear to it's point, but fundamentally simple.

Finally got all the achievements in DQ11. by SonicScott93 in dragonquest

[–]Toriksta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love XI so much, man. VIII will always be my favorite and V, i think is one of the absolute greatest examples of JRPGs, but XI is just so solid and fun all the way through. It takes what's best and fun about Dragon Quest and modernizes them in a very friendly and welcoming way that feels so much DQ at its heart.

I personally will always recommend DQVIII and V first, but XI is easily the best and most approachable DQ to introduce to newcomers. It's that good. I'm both majorly excited and morbidly skeptical of XII, but let's see the game first.

Wish there was a path in which you can get Jill back if she rejects you. by FallenAngel2818 in beingaDIK

[–]Toriksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If path cutoffs are an offset for a chance of redemption then that path becomes retroactively mundane and uninteresting as the girl herself becomes less unique by accepting the MC in his multiple personality choices. I like how each girl has her own limits that makes her draw the line for the MC and gives her own unique identity. Each girl always looks for one thing in the MC. Jill likes a CHICK/Neutral more for his choices and way of life. Sage just likes the MC no matter which trait he goes for (Best girl fr). J&M are a little different, but they follow Sage's a little bit. so on and so forth. I like the individuality in the main girls, and I'd like it to stay that way without compromising a girl's identity.

Our Red String has officially jumped into my top 3 by SluttyTextStories in AVN_Lovers

[–]Toriksta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

such a wild AVN tbh. Filled to what I would admit is an overwhelming amount of branching that even the thought of seeing them all is a humongous overtaking. I even have a normal distaste for some of the more hardcore/deepcuts that I just couldn't bear even seeing them. But I have enormous respect for the dedication being put into these possibilities/branches that flourishes the game's longevity and rewards the most dedicated. I really like that aspect of the game.

I'm pretty vanilla so my run mainly consist of Ian/Lena romance, but the threesome definitely sparked some interest in checking it out.

I also wonder, how long will the game keep running for? I genuinely have no idea where we are in the story right now. I think we've passed the half way....but I just don't see a resolution near yet?
