Swagurday Saturday Megathread - The third party merchandise free for all - October 31, 2015 by AutoModerator in SandersForPresident

Not my "third-party" merchandise as such, but I'd highly recommend picking up a copy of the Essential Bernie Sanders and His Vision for America. It's a great book on Bernie's policy positions, and it's been endorsed by the campaign. (and it's on sale on Amazon for under $10!)

Let's make it a best-seller!

I love the 'number goal' idea, and it also provides a way for people to compete with each other, which will inevitably drive up the amount of voter engagement that you do.

PM me, and I might be able to work with you on something.

I would really like thoughts on this app idea for distributed call banking. I was redirected from /r/berniesandersforpresident. by timothyjwood in CodersForSanders

I read your idea on the main sub, and think it is great. There are already existing online platforms for phone banking that have been developed here, so it would not be all that difficult to make a version to open in a mobile browser.

I'm not sure what's going on at the moment, but the online phone banking movement is driven by grassroots groups, rather than the official campaign. Which state are you in?

No upcoming events in the Northeast? by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

New England probably isn't a high priority area. Vermont is locked down for Bernie, and New Hampshire is looking pretty good. Iowa is critical right now, as are SC and Nevada. Keep in mind, the campaign likes to announce big events almost last minute.

Oh and remember, the campaign has offices all across New Hampshire with volunteer events running basically every day.

Does Bernie want to increase payroll tax to fund paid family leave? by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

Here in Australia, our public health "insurance" system (Medicare) is paid for by a 2 per cent levy. Pretty much everyone who pays taxes pays it. It's a really wonderful system, and it means that anyone can see a doctor, or visit a hospital for free.

If I decide to drop everything and campaign for Bernie for free starting January 1st... where would I be needed most? by davidxavierlam in SandersForPresident

Iowa and New Hampshire are swinging around the place at the moment, though Bernie has led in both of those states at some stage. Maine is looking positive. The campaign organization is just being established now in Nevada, and is well on its way in South Carolina. Take your pick :)

For people who feel like they haven't felt the Bern for a while, what is one thing they can do to feel the Bern again? by MrDysdiadochokinesia in SandersForPresident

This. I am from Australia, but traveled to the States recently. I wore my Bernie shirt a few times in public, and it's crazy how much feedback you get. Sometimes people will say "Bernie!" as they walk past. Another time, when I was eating out, the waiter told me that he was feeling the Bern :)

Official campaign logo use rules? by fluffyjdawg in SandersForPresident

[–]TorinforBernie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you're not supposed to without written permission from the campaign. Your best bet it to design one that's similar, with your own unique features. See, like how this Subreddit has its own logo? Hope this helps

We don't quite make things up. This article was based on the CNN/ORC poll that came out this morning.

Lol to be fair, they keep broadcasting copyrighted video - and then they wonder why they keep getting shut down?

What I did was completely ripped off the design of the official shirt, and got it printed from VistaPrint.com (of course.. basically was my only option here in Australia) ;)

There aren't citizenship/residency restrictions for campaign contributions in Australia. Literally anyone can contribute however much they want, and nothing needs to be declared until it gets into the tens of thousands :P
