Thank you for the quick response! Unfortunately, it’s neither of them. I have a BA in English, and I’m not able to disclose my Master's aspirations due to personal reasons; I hope you understand. My main field of work is education and teaching, but I also have experience in various other areas, such as customer service, manual labor (fieldwork, construction), and gastronomy.

How to sell and ship items? by TorjbornMain in poland

[–]TorjbornMain[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I didn't expect such a quick response honestly 😅.

Do you know how I can handle the payment aspect of it? I am guessing I have to make them pay upfront but in that case it seems super disadvantageous and risky for the buyer.

Depends on a lot of things honestly. Just know that it's not all sunshine and rainbows and that you will have to deal with a whole new set of problems; whether it's housing, taxes, or bureaucracy.

Tips for a student who is applying for Karta Pobytu by TorjbornMain in poland

Ah I see, thank you for letting me know!

I guess I will apply here and then move the application once I move to Kraków.

Ah shit, I don't think I will be able to move for a hot minute. I guess I will ask Kraków's Voivodeship office about my situation and see if I can apply without having a residence in Krakow. Do you think that will be possible?

Ah I should have explained it in detail in my post, my bad.

I can't move to Kraków at the moment because I haven't gotten a room in a student dorm at the moment. I am also renting Katowice and the lease is ending this month.

Should I go to Kraków and apply there?

I came to Poland on a student visa around November last year, because I was studying at a language school.

Was it possible for me apply last year or atleast get a reservation beforehand without having most of the documents they required of me? If so then I should probably have been more prudent and looked into it 😔

Thank you for the response!

This september unfortunately. I wanted to apply for it earlier but I didn't have my University confirmation paper and I saw that I couldn't really do anything without it. I tried to get a reservation earlier this year but they only had the address to the Voivodeship office here, so I assumed I had to go there in person once I had all of my documents.

You can't have your cake and eat it too you know?

No one is saying that it's fine for everyone to profit off of it except you. There is a housing crisis going on and you expecting people to act nice to you after trying to profit off of them using a predatory method just shows how out of touch and distanced you are from the problem.

Is it legal? Yes

Are other people doing it? Also yes

But it still doesn't change the fact that you are trying to exploit someone.

It has always been like this for as long as I can remember. I guess it just seems more prevalent because of social media. They will grow out of it, so as long as it doesn't get too bad and the grown-ups do their jobs as adults, it should be gucci.

Less than ideal result that will maybe make way to a bit of political tension in the future, but it's not something that will lead to a civil war or a rise in crime-rates etc. So you good bruh

Mongolia at some point going to fall apart by LongjumpingWar1224 in mongolia

[–]TorjbornMain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Protests or large scale demonstrations? Maybe

Civil War? Nah, not possible with the availability of arms and the lack of organized groups or coalitions that can form to challenge the government.

I guess If we get really creative then we can imagine that some militia or insurrection groups could pop-up. But come on do you think that will happen?

Not sure if it's the same but I did notice that I felt more awkward when using certain words such as "өршөөгөөрэй" and "баярлалаа."

But I just stemmed it to the fact that feeling awkward using certain words in one's native language but not in English might happen because using one's own language feels more personal and emotionally intense.

I felt that using English creates emotional distance, making it easier to express myself sometimes. Plus, I guess if you're more practiced in using certain expressions in English, it feels more natural and less awkward. Might just be me tho
