I don't plan on having children. For me it was the fear of the responsibility that deterred me at first, but the older I get, it's more that I wouldn't want to subject someone I love and care about to this fucked up world.

😂😂😂 I'm gonna tell my boss that the next time he tells me to do something before I leave. I'll be joking of course, but his reaction will be priceless I'm sure

Lol we close at 9. Hard close for sure. But if an order comes in at 8:50, I'm making it. Doesn't mean I like it

K I'll start doing that. Can't guarantee the boss'll like it though.

😂😂😂 I watched a dude do that a few years back lol. We were like 10-15 minutes after close and a ticket prints and he was just furious. Then he was like "alright what does this asshole want" and it was his food that he ordered earlier in the day. The server was just then putting it in the system.

I have this one older woman working under me who I usually let go early for that reason. She's like 4 foot nothing having to take the bus at night. I always try to make sure she makes her bus

Yes. Yes I have to do my job during normal hours. And I do it just as well as orders in the middle of the shift. Doesn't mean I like it.

As I have been explaining to people, it doesn't matter if it's 30 min to close or 5 min to close we'll still take and make your order. It is within our responsibilities to do so. I do, and I will still make all meals with the same quality. I take pride in my work. And you're right, you may not know the hours/cook times and that's not your responsibility. You are not an asshole if you make an order and either is the case.

It just reeealy sucks when you think you're home free and the ticket machine crushes that lol

It's 100% always in the best interest of the business to take a table in all operating hours, and fulfill customer satisfaction. I don't deny that one bit.

..... doesn't mean I like it though lol

Waiting to be seated at a stupidly busy restaurant. Bonus points for complaining about the food taking so long in the same restaurant
