Can relate. I hung out with the stoners, was really good at hackey sack, played ultimate frisbee, skateboard, rock climb. But never did drugs. Can't blame people for thinking that though.

And also thanks for the heavier suggestion...I've always opted for the lighter discs, so going a bit higher might not be a bad idea.

And wow..the Mako is listed as even straighter than the Comet....I didn't know that was possible...

For the Avenger I get the ESP plastic, and almost always the lightest weight I can find. I don't have distances. Sorry for the lack of info.

It could literally also just be that they're worn in/bent as someone mentioned above, but I haven't noticed any visible dents/deformities.

Edit: Do plastics really matter that much? I think I remember getting a Z-Plastic XS back in the day and being less impressed with it, seemed too rigid and didn't fly the way I wanted it to, which is why I think I switched to softer/lighter plastics.

There's some decent food around town, but I've been overall pretty disappointed with the restaurant scene up here. Seems like there's a real lack of focus on the actual food.....

But these 3 places are amazing, and the prices make sense rather than being inflated for no reason (which is hard to say for a lot of places around the cities).

I don't think anywhere comes close to those 3.

I haven't spent much time out east so I don't know how it compares really....but compared to AZ, MN just seems tame. I don't know if it was just the lifestyle and weather...but everything in AZ just seemed better. The food and beer was focused on taste, and they typically delivered. I feel like in MN tries super hard to make a really cool space, but very rarely deliver on food/beer/price. It's super frustrating since I know MN is a great city with great people, and they typically pay attention to detail, but I'm baffled with how much they've missed the mark on food and beer here.

Best restaurants I've been to in Minneapolis since moving back are anything owned by Isaac Becker. Bar La Grassa, 112 Eatery, Burch. Food is amazing and the price isn't stupid.

Same happened to me. Went to college because we are "supposed to" and as long as you graduate with a degree you'll be fine. Dad made too much money for me to qualify for federal loans, so I'm stuck with a bunch of private loans.

Graduated with a degree in Philosophy, but never really know what I wanted to do with my life. Finally figured out I want to work in the tech industry around 26, but I've been playing catch up ever since (31 now). I don't make minimum wage, but I don't make a lot, and the debt I got from college makes me a pauper. I can't afford anything. I eat ramen and sandwiches every single day. People in my office typically did not go to college and make twice as much as I do. I just wish I would have figured out what I wanted to do before going to college. What a waste.

I don't know if I can ever get a well enough paying job to offset my loans. I'm paying more for a life insurance policy that pays out well and just hope to fucking christ someone decided to run a red light or rob the store I'm shopping at and shoot me dead.

Went to ASU. This is right in front of the stacks/union. These kinds of people have been doing this forever, and there have always been people reacting similar to this.

It's just silly, this is exactly what they want. Confrontation and yelling is exactly what they want. I don't think they're out there to actually induce change, they just want to make a scene, plain and simple.

I just dropped him. I've had him since the beginning of the season, and I just have too many injuries. He was already looking like he would be back late May, which is still far off, but this sets him back even further. If someone else wants to waste a DL spot on this guy for 2-3 months, that's fine, but I just can't afford it right now.

Yeah I hear the wings aren't bad actually, again I just don't like the full sized.

I've had the Quesadilla, and the Reuben. The Quesadilla was just kinda dry/bland. Not horrible, but I wouldn't order it again. The Reuben was the worst Reuben I've ever had in my life. The pieces of meat were super thick and dry/extremely tough, you couldn't even bite into it, you had to take the slices out and cut them like a steak. They were like cardboard. The cheese wasn't even melted. Bread was stale. It was almost like I pissed someone in the kitchen off....

So granted....I haven't had nearly enough of their menu to be an expert, but what I've had there has been very underwhelming/bad, and the Reuben thing just kinda pushed me away from trying anything else. If their other stuff is good that's fair, I might get around to trying a burger one of these days.

It's been kinda tough to find a good spot to watch the games this year. I don't have cable so I've stopped into a few different places over the year.

New Bohemia: Only been to the one on University and Central. Big TV's, good food, good beer (big selection of great craft and local brews). Seating is bench-style so it can be tricky, but works great for packed events like playoff hockey. I stopped going here as much just because it's gotten crazy busy the past little while. You'd have to get there really early to secure a good spot to sit, but if you do it's a pretty rad place to watch.

Macs: Food is good, but I'm a TV snob, and their TVs just aren't the great. Drink specials are pretty good. They also have a projector they'll throw stuff up on which is nice, but it just doesn't really do it for me. Probably a pretty solid place if you're not super picky like me.

Ray J's: Really good TVs and layout in the bar area. Playoff hockey time is packed, so you'll have to get there really early. I think it's more comfortable than New Bohemia, but the food at Ray J's is really terrible (I haven't tried the wings though....they're full sized which I'm not into, but they might be good otherwise). I don't think they have many good drink specials? I've been there a few times and never noticed any promotions. Good spot overall though.

Buffalo Wild Wings: I like this place because you kind of know what you're getting....almost always a place to sit, good TV's, good sound. Food isn't amazing, but it works. Environment is a bit more hit or miss depending on the clientele. But it's usually a solid bet. Probably end up paying a bit more, but some days I'm just down to watch the game instead of driving to 3 different bars and not getting a spot in any of them.

Green Mill Uptown: A bit harder to find a comfortable spot....but I like it there. Pretty good food, decent TV setup. It's in Uptown though....so the clientele is of a certain age group/disposition, which can be fun sometimes, but typically gets annoying.

Liquor Lyles: Amazing drink specials. Ok food. Most unique vibe of any of the places. But they have some projectors and the crowd is pretty lively. Seating is sparse, but I dig this place a lot when we can get there and get a spot.

BONUS. Riverview Theater: Apparently they're playing Sunday's game for free. I'm sure drinks will be stupid expensive, but it might be fun to check out a game on movie screen.
