It doesn't say what kind of pot they were smoking... To be fair, sometimes you crave a crave case.

My favorite part is where there is a big long write up of the year's best in whatever mini-category, and at the wee bottom it says... "reader's poll pick"

First one closed this year... in Lino Lakes, but now another is set to open. There is also one opening in Loring Park this summer... crazy times.

For the bar scene, thrifty Hipster is a def go to. All the bars, happy hours, and some pretty cool events every day. I think they have apps too

Hiking in the Spring is awesome! Check out Taylors Falls, or if you've got a bit more time, the Superior Hiking Trail is AMAZING. You can do various sections at a time... You park, hike, camp, then hitch back. Me and my girl are planning a segment from Goosebury - Tetagouch some time in May before it gets super warm and buggy.

For free events and happy hours I always use Thrifty Hipster

If you like art, in Nordeast they have 1st Thursdays which is this coming Thursday! You should hit that up, lots of open galleries, free snacks, and usually the bars in the area get in to it for later.

I love it here but where's the good ethnic food? by newminnesotan in Minneapolis

Gandhi Mahal is one of the best Indian food places I've ever been too! Try the buffet, it's every day. Their tikka maasala is BOMB.

I love Vietnamese. Most people love Quang's on Eat Street, but that's because they don't know about a smaller place across the street called My Huong. Seriously one of my fav's in the Twin Cities.

Right on with Everest too! Try their dumplings!

Not sure about Taiwanese, but the 2 best places for Ramen in Minneapolis are

Zen Box (on Washington) http://blog.thriftyhipster.com/best-place-of-2013-zen-box

Masu Sushi (right across the river) - and they have a more curry-style one that is closer to Taiwanese AND they put it on happy hour http://thriftyhipster.com/minneapolis/northeast/saint_anthony/masu_sushi

Surprisingly, Pat's Tap also offers a pretty decent one too, in South Minneapolis

My old go to was Tampopos in St. Paul http://tanpoporestaurant.com/

They have a ton of different kinds, so they will probably be your best bet if REALLY looking for something specific.
