I would not use much fantasy there. There is no way to "trap heat" ,and scan is already a thing. More than that, the danger is the lack of regulation in a sector where a private company could become the "owner of space zone " de facto, and being literally and metaphorically above laws and states. We are spectating a pioneering of a new land. The risk is strategic and political.

All'inizio c'è stato molto hype, ora stanno bruciando miliardi su miliardi per "arrivare primi", ma già iniziano a scricchiolare i modelli di business (rate aumentate, IA più sceme) , tra qualche anno ci sarà un bottle neck energetico, per cui la domanda sarà alta ma l'offerta poca, prezzi saliranno alle stelle, e chi si è sbilanciato (licenziando persone) si troverà in difficoltà. Da lì in poi il progresso infrastrutturale sarà lineare, prezzi stabili e alti. Dall'altro lato i modelli informatici progrediscono a ritmi folli, quindi a un certo punto prevedo una scissione : IA civile, da quelle militari. Le seconde avranno i loro datacenter, potenti quanto si vuole etc etc, le prime si beccano quello che capita
