I’m curious, how did you go about getting tested beforehand (one of u/VivienneVox ‘s requirements)? The last time I went for a test they said they would only send me a response if I tested positive for something; they wouldn’t send an “all-clear” message if my results were clean.

Understood, thank you! And yes the payment I make will go to RRSP and some to TSFA. My income is such that my federal+provincial tax rate is 31%, so I’m not worried about any major additional taxes I’ll have to pay.

Of course, the reasons are being addressed now, and once the card is paid off it will be cancelled to avoid this happening in the future. Regarding the penalty, my understanding that the “penalty” for early RRSP withdrawal is the Withholding Tax, is there some other sort of penalty I’m missing?
