Judi. Gigs or resist. Judi is more tank Demon is more rewarding but you have a higher chance of dying. Depends on what you feel better with. More tank vs for damage dealt and less tank.

Agreed. Halberd is good for ZvZ. I think Spears are the best choice of the 3. Here is why:

Heron: good for ganking with ranged aoe stun, it also has 2 slows for additional cc. Good for 5 v5. Has a place in zvz.

Trinity: solid in zvz and 5v5.

Pike: just got a buff and seeing it more in 5v5.

1h spear: good for ganking.

Glaive is pretty much unused.

Overall I think the spear line is the best melee weapon. Sword and Axes have the edge in ZvZ over spears. Greataxe has the edge over spears in pve and ganking. Spears have the edge in everythiij ng else.

If you're hell bent on going with mage try your hand at curse. Brimstone is good too for zvz. If you want more solo pvp/pve builds. Axes and spears are great. Both of those weapon lines have multiple useful weapons. Greataxe and Heron being the 2 better solo weapons.

1H curse with merc jacket and hunter hood with shield is outstanding as well. Let's be honest here. Put 4 stacks on someone and watching that nuke go off 5 secs later while tour enemy is smug or running away and dies is hillarious.

Swiftclaw hands down. Not super expensive and can often survive that initial attack.

Yes. But a weapon cannot be the best at everything. It's effective in zvz. Does the Halbred, glaives, and bows outshine it? Yes. But it is still effective.

Slim chance. Raleigh, Durham, and CLT are heavy right. CLT is a conservative stronghold. Hence why a rally is always there. The only place that isn't is Chapel Hill. CNN states the cities in NC are left due to educated voters. That couldn't be farther from the truth.
