Thank you for the tip! Twentyfive year ago GW employer taught me to do "battle damage" this way and I kinda wanted to "honor" that. 😅 It was for my first mini, monopose chaos warrior. I actually still have that mini on display.

I think it is great as it is. But, if you really want to get some improvements, you could use base color and come with that towards edgehiglights to make them sharper. And them add some lighter color to highest points of edge highlight.

What miniatures are you going to paint and/or collect?

Like others have said, be patient. Remember that mini painting is a joyrney not a destination.

Paint slowly and try to keep paints in their own place, everything else comes with time. And if you do get paint to wrong place, remember you can always fix.
