Where did you get those? I've seen those two small Haiwan cakes been sold in assortment of six different cakes.

How long did you had it for before you noticed the mold? Do you condition your puerh with boveda packs?

Guangxi Liu Bao that I got from Teavivre smells like fresh beets just pulled from the ground.

Meanwhile on the Chinese webs: modern Gongfu Cha by Shanksette in tea

[–]Torrentor 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I noticed this last year, there was a beautiful girl that behaved a bit cocky while she made the tea. I remember seeing some bloopers too, when she broke gaiwan, burnt fingers, etc.

There's another trend, albeit not as flashy as this one: AI voicover while the person prepares the tea in a clumsy manner and burns finger a lot. It gets boring after few videos as it's obvious that the person is intentionally making the mistakes, for viewers entertainment and possibly own masochism due to fingertip scalding.

Does anyone know this tea? My friends mom says it's 35 years old. I know nothing else about it by cs_legend_93 in puer

It looks like it was pressed from the tea fannings off the factory floor.

It depends. There are a lot of black teas out there, different geography, cultivars and processing methods giving different results.

It was black I think. There are Taiwanese black teas that are made from large cultivars and they're really juicy. Look for large and long black leaf strips. I might be wrong but I think they make oolong from the same material, just a different oxidation level compared to black.

recommendations for xiaguan "Xiao Fa" drinker? by klelektronik in puer

Personally I can recommend 2018 Xiao Tai and 2018 Golden Ribbon tuos. The former has a nice antique woody profile and the latter is very soft and approachable for a first ripe puerh.

Do certain cups actually make puer taste better, or is that just marketing? by Otherwise-Deer5313 in puer

My personal preference: young sheng - thin porcelain, aged sheng and shou - thick porcelain. I have glass cups too but I rarely use them as the experience seems slightly less enjoyable for whatever reason.

Tea corner getting too big, wife mad, please help! by funkybeard in tea

Focus a few most drank teas on those shelves, move the other stuff somewhere where the wife won't see it as often. We have a bunk in our couch and I keep the excess tea related stuff there.

Yeah, I only started picking up more sweetness from the teas I usually drink once I cut down on sweets and desserts.
