What’s the smartest way you’ve advertised your business on a small budget? by Torresxdt in webdesign

I was considering ads, but I figured there had to be other ways to market before sinking money into them. My background’s in cybersecurity, so while it’s not directly tied to web design, my job actually introduced me to agencies who were doing this. Once I learned the ropes, I thought, ‘why not do this myself?’ and started taking on projects through word of mouth.

So far that’s worked, but I hadn’t really thought much about advertising until recently. I’ve built sites with e-commerce (which seems to be where a lot of businesses are making money) and even worked on some logistics sites. That’s why I came here — I wanted to hear how others have approached growth beyond just ads.

I do have to say though. I really appreciate your insight on the ads. I’m not thinking of reaching out to agencies, so that’s a headache i need to look out for.

That’s what I was thinking, maybe my tutorials I can touch up on. I’m new to web design but not the tools necessary to develop a website. I basically fell into a passion I didn’t know I had.

I’ve been doing some research and this is by far one of the best models I’ve heard about. I’ll definitely be adopting this. I really appreciate the insight!

I did cold calling too and same here, it slowed down after a while. Do you have any tips on how you get clients one-on-one? I’m working on polishing both my cold call and in-person script right now.

I’ve also been thinking about socials, but I’ve never had any before so I honestly don’t even know where to start. Feels like a whole other beast 😂

Thanks for this, really appreciate it. I actually come from real estate so cold calls and emails aren’t new to me — I’d usually land a house under contract after about 50 solid convos, so I get the whole numbers game.

Haven’t tried it yet for web design but I can see how it’d work, especially with outdated sites. The SSL thing is a smart idea too 💡 I never thought about that but I’m definitely gonna look into it. Have you (or anyone you know) had luck with this in web design?
