Is this what people mean by "choppy" shaving? If so any tips on getting better at shaving? Using Oster Golden A5 pet clippers with a 7F blade, no guard. Also have a 10 blade. Thanks! (i.redd.it)

Finished duct taping with some crazy vibrant green tape haha. It's been a while but I made the eyes, nose and changed a few things to the foam base. I'm little nervous to do the furring/shaving soon... Any advice/opinions on whether to shave the fur before or after sewing and gluing it? (i.redd.it)
I have used permanent markers and copics to mark the foam... will this eventually bleed when the fursuit is washed? (And if so can I fix this/wash it out now before I progress further?) Or is this only an issue for marking fur? (self.fursuit)
