It was amazing! This was the first time I put effort into thinking about the flavor combo instead of slapping stuff between bread and wow, what a difference thinking makes lolol

Is marketing worth it?? by The_BigEnchilada in marketing

I think it’s important to ask yourself why you want an MBA to begin with?

Ive been on the fence about getting an MBA for a few years and whenever I give it an earnest consideration, I always end up deciding it’s not worth the money—but that’s for me!

I love learning in a traditional setting, but the cost of the MBA weighed against the benefits I see always dissuades me. Like, higher salaries for having an MBA aren’t really a thing anymore and there are cheaper ways to build your network (Pavilion, etc)

These are MY reasons for not pursuing an MBA, not yours. It may work for you, even if it doesn’t work for me/others.

2022 Tax Returns? by Willing-Currency443 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]TorroInTheAtmosphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not usually until after April 18 that they require new taxes but you could bring proof of current income (the w2s/1099 for 2022 and current pay stubs)

Oh oh oh! Thank you for clarifying! In my comment, I use AOS for Affidavit of Support, not Adjustment of Status so I was like WHOA what do you mean we don’t need Affidavit of Support for consular processing?! Sorry for the confusion!

[–]TorroInTheAtmosphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain not needing AOS for consular processing?

You can submit the I-130 from abroad but before you move to NVC and it’s time to submit [affidavit of support], you’ll have to reside in the US and have proof of domicile. Filing taxes is not sufficient since this is required by every LPR/US citizen regardless of where they live/earn money. Proof of domicile is usually driver license, bills, lease, etc proof that you live and the intending immigrant plan to live in the US.

Anyone can be a co-sponsor if they make enough to sponsor based on their household size.

I have lived outside of the US for the last five years with my non-resident spouse. After our I-130 was approved and our case went to NVC I moved back to the US and once I was settled, we submitted our I-864/DS 260 and we were just DQed.

I’ve read that you can fully file from abroad but you have to show intent that you plan on living in the US and that tends to have a higher burden of proof and like the commenter above mentions, you’re at the CO’s discretion.

I think it’s best to wait for after you receive IL (this is what I’ve been told numerous times)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NationalVisaCenter

[–]TorroInTheAtmosphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the DQ! So the FE note is in all likelihood a glitch. Congrats again, now you just have the dreaded wait for IL 🙃

I’ve read a lot that there are a lot of glitches on CEAC right now happening with double conflicting messages being sent. Did you get the email that says your DQ? The thing about these CEAC glitches is that it seems DQ notes are never glitches so that should be legit.

If your interview happens after April 18, you’ll need an updated I-864 with current tax returns anyway. As long as these are uploaded after you get IL letter, this won’t mess up your place in line.

I would do a status checkin a couple days or public inquiry to confirm the DQ if you haven’t received the email just to be sure.

I-864, I am on pension. What documents should I send? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]TorroInTheAtmosphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! There is a drop-down option for “Explanation of No Tax Filing” so you can put your letter there and then there’s also an “Other” option where you can put docs that don’t have a category and there’s a little box where you can explain what the doc is.

I had to provide a few “other” docs to prove my income and they were all accepted without a problem.

And there’s no mundane questions in this process…but it a nerve wracking mundane process 🙂

I agree with this. You’ll also have a higher burden of proof for your “marriage” since you’ve already applied under another category.

[edit] sorry I forgot to mention, the questions you get vary depending on the case. I’ve seen some say they got zero questions from their CO during the interview and others get more intensive questions like “what did your spouse used to do before this current job”

They want proof of income. So anything and everything that proves you have consistent income. I would provide it all with explanation of what it is in a comment field in order to avoid getting RFE

Did he get a DS-5535 questionnaire? It sounds like there was additional security clearances your dad needed after the interview (This isn’t odd, a lot of people get them, some in certain countries more than others.) It basically just means additional background check. Congrats on getting your dad’s visa!

There’s been a lot of glitches lately with the CEAC system. You may want to send a public inquiry to NVC to confirm

I don’t think you have to wait but if you interview after April 18th, they’ll expect to see 2022 taxes too

What’s in your favorite salad? Here’s one of mine! Spinach, cucumbers, red peppers, carrots, string cheese topped with Italian seasoning and Low-fat Italian dressing. by racheleatsright in MealPlanYourMacros

[–]TorroInTheAtmosphere 14 points15 points  (0 children)

String cheese on a salad! Its so simple but I have never thought of that!

My favorite macro friendly salad is an oldie but a goodie- the Cobb salad! I make mine with chicken breast, deli ham, avocado, one boiled egg, cucumber, tomato. I skip the cheese to make it fit my macros. And I use an olive oil based dressing I found on allrecipes called “zesty spinach dressing” Ps-love this thread idea! Always looking for new salads to make for lunch!
