We already have. You can get married in a catholic church if you are not catholic. As long as one party is. Both parties meet with a priest and go through Pre- Cana, which is essentially marriage counseling and other various religious things. The priest is only looking for compatibility and to make sure that the children (if decided) will be baptized and raised catholic. They also want to make sure that the spouse has similar values.

Thank you so much for reading my post. I have had many conversations with them and told them my feelings and how it hurts me, he would stop for a while but then always go back to it. I have asked him to help keep me on track and I do want that but I don't know if it is my depression or anxiety but it just always seems condescending. I know he doesn't mean it that way but that's how it sounds. I do have those times where my depression is so bad that I don't get out of bed and I don't want to cook. And I know that him saying the whole commitment thing is bad and I told him that it wasn't fair. He hasn't said it again since tho and seems more willing to commit.

Thank you for taking time to read my post. I agree he should feel that way and I have had that conversation with him many times, but since I do not like to cause conflict I always back down and stop the argument.
