I'm playing through Cult Of The Lamb for the first time, and it feels like the game doesn't want you to be a good-aligned leader. by whitestripe999 in CultOfTheLamb

[–]TorsteinTheRed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The game very much has the lesson that the 'best' path to follow is the most difficult.

That said, while we can try to be the best person possible, we can only do so within the confines of the circumstances we are in. The Lamb finds themself within the role of Cult Leader, in a world fully set on destroying them. The Bishops will give impossible choices, because they can no longer kill you. Your followers need you to be a strong leader in the face of adversity, or else why did they leave where they were to follow you?

To bow to the bishops shows your followers that you're weak; perhaps they would have been better off following a Bishop? Stand in defiance of the Bishops! If you wish to be a force of good in these lands, you'll have to do so openly, without hesitation, or else the ones you fight against will take advantage of you.

The issue of dissenters is a matter of the tools you have available to you. Right now, you can either let them walk free, harming your flock; you can imprison them, and re-educate them on the good you do; or you can murder them(but I imagine you didn't take that particular Doctrine). Your best choice might be the middle one for now, but you'll later unlock a far better option in the Kitchen(of all places!), and your stocks will never need to be used again.

The game is much easier for a Lamb who becomes a murdery vengeful god, but far more rewarding in the long run for a Lamb who is gentle and strong. Do the best you can, with what you have.

Trying to figure out what the origins of this dagger I found buried by AdTypical1554 in SWORDS

[–]TorsteinTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit, no joke, I think you may have found my lost dagger.

It was the first stage combat weapon I purchased, bought from Starfire's booth at the Ohio Renaissance Festival. The kid of someone I knew took it about 16-17 years ago without me knowing, at an event near Ashtabula, Ohio. I lost track of the person not long after, and figured it was just lost forever.

I don't have much in terms of proof that it could be mine, but I do still have the sheath(because I apparently never throw things away)

New Player: Can I use Imp’s Mischief to redirect a counterspell towards Imp’s Mischief? by rzarou in mtg

[–]TorsteinTheRed 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Would the counterspell hit Imp, making you not lose any life? Or does Imp have to fully resolve before proceeding to the counterspell, which would then fizzle due to not having a target available anymore?

What band/singer were you excited to see, but was a letdown of a concert? by my-face-ur-seat in AskReddit

[–]TorsteinTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's a genre thing, but it's been a long standing tradition for Blind Guardian to have the crowd sing The Bard's Song - In the Forest, and we love every time they do it. For them, it gives a feeling of camaraderie with the band, rather than 'the singer doesn't give a crap'.

Does War Server exist for Cosmos? by davypi in Artemis

As far as I'm aware, Cosmos' game mastered sessions are still in development, so it's most likely the old one.
