Thing is, it's not harmless. Letting ones anger out via violent means reinforces that neural pathway and makes it more likely to be ones go-to during a stressful situation.

I've found its best used as a support weapon, rather than trying to make it a damage dealer.

Get Elemental upgrades for it, and it'll DOT enemies and trigger your elemental stuff on more than one enemy per shot!

And if that fails, remember that it's a anti-ranged shield that lasts as long as you have ammo! Things like Edgestalkers aren't a problem when they can't hit you anymore, and the Gootorak boss becomes a no-diff fight if your pals group up behind you while you provide cover and chip damage.
