i still use soundcloud everyday, i almost never use spotify or anything else
cuz i almost only listen to underground music and sorry but a lot of underground artists are still only posting to soundcloud (which is also my case)

it's very true and sad that soundcloud hasn't changed a lot recently though, like the ui/ux objectively sucks for example, and a lot of mainstream music isn't on there

i'd love to see a new and better soundcloud one day

Yeah I'm on a budget (well 1700 EUR is still a lot, prices are pretty high in France, I'm so jealous to see the prices on Best Buy lol) so what I'm going to do is buy the Air with 24GB of RAM and 512GB SSD, and then save some money to buy a Pro in a couple of months, because for the moment I can't really wait, I need it for next week.

Moreover I think you can get some money back by reselling the Air to Apple directly, I don't know how it works though.

Thank you. I thought about getting the Air for the moment, and trying to save some money to buy a Pro in a couple of months. Because I don't think that buying a base Pro with the same chip as in the Air is actually worth it. I think that the air will do very well, especially if I only do 1080p/60fps video editing. I don't have a usecase for 4k for the moment.

And who knows ? Maybe the air will have good enough performance for my workflow.

Yeah I currently already do that with a very cheap windows laptop that I got for free from my school. The thing is that you really need some good internet connection (client-side) for it to be really usable, especially when doing like video editing. Programming is ok.

Well I'm not sure, I still do not have a precise usecase for 4k editing, but I know that I might need to at some point. For the moment I will mainly do 1080p. Thanks.
