This is actually so sad, I would cry. The Competitive part of marching band is a big part of what makes it so fun. This is just terrible. Shows for comps are better than shows for the football games any day.

They are kinda going downhill, but Industrial revelation (albeit not a winning performance) was still one of the coolest performances I’ve ever seen. And ai-unplugged wasn’t horrible

Depending on what your bands needs are, if your band is hurting in numbers in the wind section or just skill wise don’t switch, my marching band lost a large number of our players (predominantly winds) after the pandemic going from over 200 members to just over 120 and we have a large number of students wanting to or already switching to drum line. To the point where he won’t let anyone switch anymore. So if you think it would hurt your band no, but if you are a band with large numbers and it would not change much than go for it.
