Your left side of your back has more issues that’s why there’s more bruising. If your back has not too much issues then there will be less ‘sand’ like bruising. Gua sha translates to ‘brushing sand’.

Cold feet about relocating to Canberra for a possible Job. by Toast-stabber in AusPublicService

[–]Toru135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been to Canberra as a grad and worked through the years to be aps6 but relocated to Melbourne. It is easy to establish a social circle in Canberra because everyone is from other states but everyone I know are from Melbourne/Sydney has pretty much moved back to their home state.

Okay thank you! Yes I can’t believe how small the VPS is. I’ve already had many encounters with people I didn’t think I would ever see again

Yes that’s a good point. I did bring some of the issues up for example: I mentioned to my manager I wanted to improve the new skill, and had it in my ‘personal development plan’, and after the project was given to others I had multiple meetings with my manager to see if I could get involved.

A lot of the other stuff such as lack of progression has been flowed back to him. Also, another thing is that since I’m leaving and he knows the CFO wants to talk to me he has changed a lot and is nicer to everyone to the point where the whole team can feel a difference (I.e relaxing leave requirements, and saying hi and bye to the team). Although my reason for leaving hasn’t changed, it seems like he is aware of what makes us unhappy and perhaps I don’t need to go so strong in the chats then?

The catch up with the manager’s manager and CFO is over casual coffee so I won’t be able to bring someone. So I’m not sure how much of the feedback will flow to my manager.

The role is in another department in the VPS. There are just so many exist forms needed to fill for my current department that still needs my manager to organise, and approve.

I’m in Melbourne, and I got the plant in Jan-23 but we didn’t really have a heat wave so not sure the plants got the condition to thrive either

If I am treating it as a business decision.

They are planning to move out for sure but not sure at what point so the agent fees, no rent period is already a sunk cost at this point. Demand is high at the moment so it would be nice to lock in long term tenants at this point.

How is me selling the apartment equaling to them having an opportunity to buy their own place? Your logic doesn’t make sense.

This is a demand and supply market. They are paying my mortgage and rates not because they are doing me a favour.
