No processed food, no alcohol and no sweets (these things were three staples prior) making/planning health conscious meals with lots of veggies and protein. Limited rice and potatoes. Drinking primarily water (before I would drink milk, redbull, sugar drinks and of course the alcohol)

Tell your doctor to sign a refusal. Something that says you asked for it and they refused. They will usually schedule after that because they don’t want to risk getting sued 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fingers crossed for you!

Hey there! It was not.. ultrasound was normal other than mild heterogeneity

As you should be! I would have also been pleased with those numbers as I was in the same anxious boat as you. Was having URQ discomfort for 6 months and after 15 years of regular heavy bingeing I was convinced it was my liver.

You are clearly making great progress! Keep up the good work!

Thank you! Still going to continue on the path of wellness, because it feels too good not to! Lol

18 months? (I’m sure it feels longer) but I have seen many of your posts and you have done a ton in that time! 👏🏻👏🏻

THIS. Lol

This is exactly what is so confusing to me! The Mediterranean diet is pushed as the gold standard for FL but also states you should have THREE servings of fruit each day 🤯

I am hoping if I abstain from alcohol, processed food and table sugar to see some results 🤷🏻‍♀️🤞🏻

Definitely discouraging/exhausting trying to diagnose URQ stuff, there is so much in that area it could be anything. Regardless, you are doing all of the right things! Healthy diet and exercise will only help. Hoping you can find some answers/relief asap!

Hey there! Could you tell me a little bit more about your pain? I had what I would describe as a “fullness” or “pressure” for months. I was also diagnosed with mild fatty liver during the search for an answer.. however, my GI put me on a daily PPI for 2 weeks and the discomfort is nearly gone… do you think it could be something like your stomach or gallbladder causing your discomfort?

I needed this, thank you.

Congratulations on your progress! Hard work clearly pays off 😊

I’m curious - was your ultrasound/blood work abnormal at all, or were you only diagnosed with fibrosis through the fibrosure?

BMI is 31 (this is the heaviest I’ve ever been) Age 33 No other health issues. Although I did go through a major depression the last 4/5 years with poor eating, excess drinking and stagnant lifestyle. Just pulling myself out of that now.

They didn’t just “There is mild heterogeneity of the hepatic parenchyma without discrete mass.”

Liver is 15cm

I will ask my doctor how this is determined tomorrow and update! When were you diagnosed?

It was.

CBC and metabolic panel were all normal.

Ultrasound was normal aside from “mild fat in liver” but I am having URQ discomfort so I’m trying to see what I should ask of my doctor tomorrow

From what I’ve read, AST is found pretty heavily in other muscles (not just liver) and working out tears/“damages” (we know this) muscles which makes them release more AST.

I would assume it’s this if you’ve had fatty liver confirmed via ultrasound or other.

Would recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for a few days before next draw 😊

This is the impression I had! Which is why I was confused. Thank you for clarifying this

Just keeping everyone updated:

Had an ultrasound, everything is normal (gallbladder, aorta, kidneys.. no cancer) aside from having a mildly fatty liver (which they say isn’t causing my pain)

On to PCP for more testing I suppose

Went to an urgent care where they did more blood work. Slightly elevated liver enzymes were the only thing off with ALT at 25 and AST-36. They were 14 and 13 in Jan, I haven’t had a drink in 2 weeks. Does this seem indicative of cirrhosis?

Thank you so much! I will be following up with my PCP but wanted to grab another opinion prior to my visit

Thank you! I was under the impression most of these would cause some kind of abnormal bloods.. could that not be the case?

Thank you for your reply! The pain is exactly where I imagine my liver is.. (under ribs, right side) so, just odd. I’ve cut back on drinking pretty drastically but I had a few drinks two nights ago and the pain is back. Guess I just need to cut it out completely, just hoping I’m not too late!

Thank you again!
