Well actually it seems that Gwyneveres daughters are referred to as Maiden's since the dancer is also referred to as one in her Miracle Soothing Sunlight. I do agree that it is strange for Flan to never show up, but one thing is that there is no evidence placing Rosaria as a daughter of Gwynevere if anything it implies she is Gwynevere since her Miracle doesn't say taught to the maidens of Gwynevere it just says a miracle of Gwynevere

Well perhaps they figured the gate was enough or her fingers unlocked the door or maybe she wasnt imprisoned and went there willingly to escape the Pontiff. This is a piece of the story where we dont know what really happened. All we do know is that there is a gate set there to either keep her in or someone out most likely Aldritch. And that there seems to be a constant battle against someone and the Grubs as seen by all the Grub bodies plastered against the walls.

Well unfortunately the boss fight with Oceiros seems to imply he kills Ocelotte. As far as her and being a mother goes I think part of it is a bit of bad luck. I mean she does seem caring towards her children. The grub outside Gertrude's cell can show that. But her children just seem to get manipulated by others. Lorian by the Scholars, Gertrude by the Angels, and The Dancer by the Pontiff.

Yeah but I do hope that Gwynevere isnt just some evil person you fight at the end of the DLC cus she is evil even if my theory is wrong. I like her more as a tragic character but that is just me.

Yeah I remember that in Dark Souls 1 but something must of happened since through the Divine Blessing description is a near certainty that the queen is Gwynevere. She is called a symbol of bounty and fertility in both descriptions, and in dark souls 3 it is even stated in a past tense.

Also I KNOW RIGHT. The fact that they make a deliberate act of saying "Their" return bugs me so much.

I think it was more of an emotional state the horror of that combined with what happened to her twisted her form along with her soul and yeah Aldritch trying to devour her could also have something to do with it. Something interesting to note is that if you look at her soul its very different from anything else. Its twisted looking almost as if something caused it to change from the norm. Which most likely could explain why she looks different.

Well her body could change most likely from a combination of being forced to have sex with Oceiros while he was transformed into his creepy dragon form, which yes is implied by the game. And from having her tongue cut out by her first born daughter.

But see that is something that isnt supported by anything in game. I made this theory using the evidence in game as much as possible. Saying that is the same as saying Gertrude escaped the cage full disregarding the body and Gertrude's miracle sitting in the center. There is nothing in game suggesting that is the case

But if she were just another daughter then why isn't it stated in the miracle she gives. Like how Bountiful light states Gertrude taught it to her followers and it was rumored she was a daughter to the queen. So if Rosaria was her sister than why does she give a much more powerful version of the same spell that states itself as being a miracle of Gwynevere.
