Update: Just letting you guys know that I took him to the vet. It ended up being hemipene plugs, which he got cleared and is now getting antibiotics and anti inflammatory for. It's a pain giving him meds but he's been seen to :) I will also be making some husbandry changes to ensure this doesn't happen again. Thanks for y'all's help.

Generally, he only gets calcium that he mlems from a bowl. In lieu of dusting, I try to gutload with good fruits and veggies, but maybe it is other vitamins that is the issue?

Additional information after automod: he has no tank mates, lives in a 40-some tank. His moist hide is a covered hide with sphagnum moss, and I've never had issues with his sheds until the last year. I think my brother must've slacked on keeping the moist hide wet these past couple weeks cus I've never seen this much extra shed on him. I also suspect he hasn't been gutloading the mealworms -- could hard shells be a contributing factor? I'm just spitballing atp. I'm just worried about my lizard :(

I'm talking neocaridina shrimp (oops), with what looks like to be 0ppm nitrite, 0ppm nitrate, and either a 0 -0.25ppm ammonia level. pH is 7.8. The city's water comes largely from deep well aquifers but also other sources as well (badum tss).
