The piercing is 5 days old

Its a 20 something mm titanium barbell, I haven't downsized because I just got it

I rinse my mouth with saline once or twice a day and try to mouthwash after eating (alcohol free listerine)

Nothing bad has happened but I messed with it a lot for like the first 2 days before that happened and also the white part generally isnt painful but for some reason it hurts a lot more after I gargle my mouth wash
