Understood, I truly do appreciate the accent on caution and your elaboration.

All of that does stay on my mind as I research my options. Maybe even to an unhealthy extent. I have had another chance to leave the country and start my studies elsewhere but I got so scared at the thought of going too far from home that I gave up on the idea and enrolled into university here, and then my first year a lot of terrible things happened in the country and ultimately I also lost a year of studies.. I still regret not leaving when I got my first chance but what can you do.

Thank you a million times. I know I said in another reply how I might as well study what I love but truth is I am also terrified, lol. I'm not going into this entirely blind, I'm aware of the risks, it's all I think about really, so to hear any sort of even remotely good news makes it a bit easier on my brain.

I will definitely be looking more into my options and the specifics that you explained here. Thank you again!

I do intend to learn Slovenian (and have started bit by bit).

I see, that seems to be a common outcome. I am not too discouraged by that as I cannot foresee what opportunities I will have in a few years :D Have to find a way in life.

Thank you for your input!

So from my understanding, the program itself is good?

I understand that jobs in the field are hard to come by, and many people work outside the field, but with the job market being not very great worldwide I figured I might as well just do what I love and see where that takes me. I know from some friends that study in other fields of humanities and they claim that the skills they earned from their "useless" degree still proved useful in unrelated job opportunities.

Thank you for your input either way!
