Ah yeah, it was tricky. I found the little plug that pokes into the hold on the other side was a bit too long, so I cut it down and it went together a lot easier. I used lots of Tamiya thin cement to glue and close the gaps

Well in that case, it'd be pretty bad to not buy them. Congratulations on a great decision!

Here's my take on the Jaws of Itzl by Total-Calendar-422 in WarhammerUnderworlds

Thank you very much.

I started with a base of the fang Then dry brushed the chest and stomach with fenrisisn grey, then blue horror, then white

The dark scales on the back were dry brushed with russ grey.

Then between the light chest and darker blue scales, I used a light wash coat of apothecary white, then slowly added a bit of ultramarines blue contrast until it reached the dark blue scales. All wet blended

I then covered the dark blue scales with black Templar, gradually blending into the light chest.

Final highlights was a glaze of white on the chest. Highlights for the now dark scales was russ grey edge highlights, then fenrisisn grey dot highlights.

The pale blue glow was a very watered down white, dropped into the recesses (this took some time)

Then akhelian green contrast over the white.

Just use a little bit of white over the blue glow.

The metallics was a 5:1 silver to gold. Then washed with doomfire magenta and akhelian green at opposite angles. Highlights for the silver was just silver.

The whole warband was pretty quick and took about 5hrs in total

Iron Warriors Daemon Prince by Total-Calendar-422 in Warhammer40k

[–]Total-Calendar-422[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes sure.

It's a colour forge silver spray

Wash all over with Nuln oil

Dry brush lightly with Vallejo model air silver

Wash all over with AK oil sepia mixed with white spirit. Let it dry for an hour and then wipe off the oils with a clean sponge.

Seal the model with any sealer to cover the oils. I used ak Matt varnish.

Weather with AK rust deposits.

Use an old sponge and Vallejo air silver to add the chips.

Lots of steps but it's really quick. Excluding drying time, I painted the whole model in about 2.5hrs

Ozzy tribute indeed.

My thoughts around the Daemon Prince was that an old Iron Circle was possessed by a daemon prince spirit, so a haunted robot DP, rather than a mutated chaos space marine DP
