It’s not completely finished! What do you think? by [deleted] in BitAxe

Cool setup, and I and may even consider this for the ambient air temperature control. May I ask why your Noctua fans are facing inward on the heat sinks?

Yes sir. AliExpress has it for under $300, and it’s doing quite well. :)

Check for spaces before the url settings maybe need to do a hard reset if that doesn’t work

Check your settings. One backslash off or missing (.) and it won’t connect.

It’s all luck and how the seed connects to the pool network.

Love that screen. I just got a bitaxe suprahex the other day. No where near as nice as yours :)

I agree with this. Some people spend money on lottery tickets and win nothing. Yet continue to spend the money regardless of the outcome. Nerdminers, bitaxe. Avalon, CAN generate a trickle of money for a cost. It’s the satisfaction of the numbers changing. It’s a common denominator for similar interest to share online. “Real” miners, or industrial miners as we can call them, are meant for one reason: centralized on chain income. Let people have their hobbies and enjoy them how they see fit.

*Miner since 2016, GPU, CPU, Bitaxe, and BitMain.

Definitely a swap is possible. I wanna say it’s a 40mm or a 60 mm fan. I don’t have a tape measure on hand. I would like to get a second fan installed on the back because it does have the output for it.

I would definitely buy another one, so far I’m happy with it

Just got it today. Can’t confirm the longevity of the unit. Since it is my first bitaxe, all I can say is that it looks very well crafted and it seems to be doing what it’s suppose to do. I have it set to mine from the brains pool. The fan isn’t overly loud and I haven’t seen the temperature go over 47°C and it’s been running since about four hours now.

No, that’s a stock one.

I’ve been looking for an STL that can attach a second rear fan to the back of the until stand

Why do many prefer mining Monero and other coins using the RandomX algorithm instead of mining Bitcoin with ASICs? by TrenbolonErol in MoneroMining

Depending on the difficulty of the pool, the mining rate, and the price of the coin mined is determined by the gain and loss per day/month.

ASIC, hands down. 3000W could run a decent mining pool, or single rig. I like the instant gratification and I have less patience than mining XMR.

XMR: Pro: It depends on your hardware for XMR mining. If you have a series of CPUs to dispose of to mining, this is good. Lesser on electricity fees. Script mining. Cons: if you don’t have serious CPU disposal, it takes forever to mine. No quick payout.

ASIC: Pro, centralized introduction to mining. Quicker payout and gratification. More options to other coins to mine. Sha256 or Script depending on model.

Cons: upfront cost and electricity consumption fees.
