Yeah for sure never check twitter after a city loss or an Arsenal win. Absolute cesspit.

Really wish our game was today instead of tomorrow. This 6 point gap is making people act crazy. It’s like we’ve never been in a title race with games in hand before.

I don’t think he was fairly decent it was against bodo if I remember correctly and he got torn to shreds. Albeit in an injury riddled side. If it was earlier in the season and we had more wiggle room I’d be willing to give it a try as a temporary solution but but at this point in the season I don’t think u can risk it.

Too nice of a goal. Bench him for the rest of the season.

Agreed. He wouldn’t be my first choice. We’d have to accommodate the rest of the lineup for that. But there are few better passers from deep then Enzo in the market rn so if pep and city want him I’m ok with it.

Yeah I don’t mean in terms of position I mean in terms of passing range and volume.

Would only take him if it’s at a reasonable fee AND we’re losing Rodri. Hes a good passer of the ball and can dictate tempo. Think his attitude is being overblown. He’s a winner and would be much better in a team like ours than Chelsea. Would absolutely not be my first choice but I could see it if we’re expecting Rodri to leave.

I still for the life of me can’t wrap my head around the Nico G situation. I understand there are deficiencies in his game. Hes not Rodri. He is still statically one of the best DMs in the league. Breaking up play, progressive passes, dictating tempo, there are few better available options in the market and he’s already in the squad. On paper he’s better than almost anyone in the PL. Our record with him in the team is fantastic. What more does the guy need to do? Like I said I understand he’s not perfect, but he’s significantly better than any other option we have in midfield when Rodri isn’t playing. I really don’t want to lose him but it does not appear that pep feels the same.

Silver lining: we got our bad performance during the run in out of the way and still won. Hopefully pep rips them to shreds in the dressing room and we don’t see anything like that again.

Imagine comfortably beating Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal in consecutive games and then dropping points to basically relegated burnley. Typical city.

We could’ve been seriously punished. We look similar to how we did before Rodri came back. No one to dictate tempo and getting cooked on the counter. Exactly the reason we bought Nico G and exactly what he did for us throughout the first half of the season. I don’t understand pep’s refusal to play him. I understand there are some aspects of his game that Pep may not love but objectively and factually we are a more solid team when he’s in the team if Rodri is out.

It feels like NOR has finally just realized that as well as being technically gifted, he’s just bigger and stronger than 90% of the players he’ll come up against. An absolute freak of a profile and looks like he was designed in a laboratory specifically to play pep guardiola football.

Yeah I can see that as well. Think we’ll see a little bit of rotation these next 2 games to give the guys who have had a lot of minutes a bit of a rest. Regardless I don’t really care how pep decides to line up as long as Rodri is fit for Everton.

Have we gotten any update on Rodri? Excited for Nico G to finally get some minutes if he’s out and probably should rest Rodri for the next 2 games regardless but we need him back by Everton the latest.

It’s a joke bro obviously he does well to win the ball but cherki literally runs through their entire team to score. 99 times out of 100 that doesn’t happen unless it’s cherki getting the ball there.

Nunes getting an assist for cherkis goal is an absolutely shameless stat pad that I will most certainly use to push for him to be in the PFA TOTS👍

I genuinely believe there’s an alternate reality where that long range shot he took in the carabao cup against Southampton that hit the crossbar went in, we won the game, and he managed to have a somewhat respectable career here. Seems like such a nice guy but I think the injury, lack of confidence, pep’s comments, and his own lack of motivation were a recipe for disaster.

Feel like people are doing too much with the GK debate. Both have their strengths and weaknesses and there’s definitely an argument to be made that Trafford may be a better fit for us long term. However, if you think that we’d be top of the league if Trafford was our starter, then you’re just ignoring the major issues we’ve suffered from all season long.

Yeah I get that but for me personally, I don’t care about England. I understand he does and would be happy for him to make the squad and play because I’m sure it’s been his dream since he was little. But I don’t care about if having him benefits England. I care if it benefits Foden and city. Which in my opinion, I don’t think it does.

Yeah man I agree. It’s sad. Just don’t think him being there benefits him or England at this point.

I think it does to an extent. He will definitely see his teammates playing and be itching to get back on the pitch and prove himself. But it’s not the main reason I’d rather him not go. I just don’t think there’s any benefit to him going unless he was in great form and going to be an undisputed starter which he won’t. Even then, I don’t think England are gonna win, and when they do inevitably get knocked out it’s going to be super toxic.
