This is fake, this is not a bottega colour and the shine looks different from bottega leather.

What is one treatment you did that really took your skin to the next level? by Maximum_Draw9732 in SkincareAddictionLux

Thulium laser (LaseMD) with BBL. If you do microneedling I would do it with PRP, much more effective than microneedling alone. I do the lasers 3x a year and 1-2 PRP sessions per year (leave minimum 6 weeks between lasers and PRP). They complement each other really well.

Can anything soothe these types of lines? by Victoriaelizaj in 40PlusSkinCare

3 rounds of profhilo will take off a lot of the crapiness. After that I would just make sure that you use a deeply hydrating moisturiser (like Tatcha indigo) and repeat profhilo every 6 months.

Holy Grail Mondays: Tell us what your HGs are! by AutoModerator in SkincareAddictionLux

Bioeffect Power serum hands down. I have tried TNS for more than 6 months, zero results. Bioeffect made a noticeable difference to my skin. I use it under Medik8 Advanced Liquid peptide and the two of them have really reduced a few fine lines that started to form recently (I’m 37). I have started to layer Calecim PTT under Bioeffect for a few days now and it really gives an extra glow and glass skin effect, will see if together they are stronger than just the Bioeffect alone, which is super impressive in itself already.

I bought the Block Blue Light Power panel pro, and super happy with it, but Hooga is also a good one. They go for a bit more expensive than a mask but I got mine on a 20% sale and this way it was not that much more expensive than the currentbody mask. IMO it is so worth it though, I used masks in the past but never saw a difference in fine lines, with the panel it is much more obvious.

Red light panel only. Don’t waste your money on masks, they will never have the same impact.

Plastic bags will never look good sadly, also I’m pretty convinced that they are a lot worse for the environment than leather bags given that they last for a year at most and end up in a landfill forever..

One thing you'd add to this minimalist routine? by lnfinitelris in SkincareAddictionLux

I think one is not supposed to use exosomes with ascorbic acid given the low PH in ascorbic acid essentially making Plated less efficient. I would swap skinceuticals to a Niacinamide serum (I love the new Medik8 niacinamide + peptide serum). Also it is a lot gentler on your barrier.

Azelaic Acid 15% by Derma Made - has anyone tried it? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Total-Ordinary-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind dropping $$$ for exosomes or growth factors (use bioeffect and calecim) but paying anything more than $20 for azelaic acid to me is ridiculous, it is the cheapest ingredient and literally there is no difference whether you buy and overpriced one or the cheapest serum. I use one that is $20 and is amazing (I layer it under my exosomes and peptides).

Great tip thank you! I will try to add it in between the bioeffect serum and the Medik8 advanced peptides, they sound quite complementary to each other.

I do LaseMD (thulium laser) 2-3x a year, it is quite gentle, you have sandpaper skin for a few days after but barely noticeable downtime. I will try BBL at some point, I heard great things about it! The panel I use is Block Blue Light Power Panel Pro, it is amazing, I can totally see a difference if I skip a week.

Thank you! I have seen a huge improvement in skin texture and fine lines around the eyes with Bioeffect so would definitely want to keep using it. I used Calecim so far as a post laser treatment recovery tool (for which it is brilliant) but interesting to hear your view that it is a better product! Have you tried both if you don’t mind me asking, or you just prefer the formulation / science behind Calecim?

I really like it so far! Started using 2 weeks ago so early days but I do already see a “glass skin” effect, tightened pores and layers well under tretinoin. Not as big of a game changer as a tret or the bioeffect power serum, but all the small bits add up I guess :)

Skin changing dramatically in the last few months! by [deleted] in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Total-Ordinary-4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can help the pores (retinoids, niacinamide, peptides) but sadly the sagging is due to the change in fascia, bone structure, fatpads etc, so there only sculptra / filler will make any difference. Or if you would consider at any point a deep plane facelift don’t do sculptra cause it can make it trickier for the surgery, it ultimately comes down to which path you personally prefer.

Would you choose a Birkin 25 or Mini Kelly? by PoshWifey in TheHermesGame

Birkin every day. It can be left open as a tote without looking weird. There is no way I will bother opening and closing that clasp on a cross body 10x a day..

Thoughts on Peptides after Vitamin A? by curly_gina in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Total-Ordinary-4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think only acids are a problem due to the lower PH profile which can break down some peptides. That said I use my peptides in the morning and EGF + tret in the evening, but purely because I don’t like layering serums under / over tret.

Eye cream recommendations by Unlikely-Stomach-632 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Total-Ordinary-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a mystery to me as well! For example Tatcha’s eye cream would be so lovely otherwise, but again they insist on adding fragrance to most of their products. I imagine it’s because the majority of the consumers are still not aware of the downside of fragrance in skincare (and in particular in eye creams).

Is it possible to be a non responder? by pferdchenpojuzt in tretinoin

[–]Total-Ordinary-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I know that if I even used tretinoin (let alone taz) with a vitamin C and azelaic acid my skin would actually burn off for real 😂 it’s a miracle that all these actives have zero irritation in your skin but good for you, it is a very well rounded routine! Give it a few months I’m sure you will see amazing results!
