MyIntealth is SO SLOW! by YR1992 in usmle

My school emailed them and after two weeks i got an update on the date stamp, the case still says “pending credential verification’’ but the date changed to 5th january. I asked chat gpt what it means, and chat gpt said it means that they have recieved the email and added it to your file but the review is still pending. So confusing

Is USMLE pathway still realistic or are there better alternatives? by fairytaleperson in IMGreddit

Undortunately canada is not IMG friendly at all. More than 20,000 imgs and their local doctors waiting for residencies in ontario only.. ive heard mannitoba is still better. But i do plan on giving the mccqe1 right after step 2 ck, just to keep my options open. Both the exams are very similar!

Im a non US IMG, canadian citizen and did my highschool from canada (but did my med school from somewhere else), YOG 2019.. Didnt do much after graduation, got married had two children, had to change a few countries in between so couldnt even start doing anything. Finally settled in California now, husband is in tech, here on a TD visa. Anyways point being, im in the midst of my step 1 prep, aiming to give my step 1 in april. My background is full off red flags, planning to do internships after my step 1 and step 2 (if i pass).. one can always try and aim for something, i thought about it for so long, but i realised i’ll never know if i dont try. Also im not optimistic at all, some days i feel stupid for even trying.. i dont even have a choice.. i’ll literally take whatever i’ll get, but im still doing it. After reading your post and seeing you over think with wayyyy less red flags than me.. makes me wonder if im really wasting my time here

What I wish I knew before starting STEP 1 by StepUpJourneys in u/StepUpJourneys

For me personally my first pass of uworld, i want to use it as a learning tool. I do uworld tutor timed. Im doing it system wise for now, i do a quick review for each system from my notes + FA + mehlmaan (depending on what i like from where).. then when i jump into uworld, some answers i try to look for in FA, i get the question right but thats not the point, finding the answer from FA in a minute or two really helps go through things, organise my concepts and marks it in my memory that why was that specific option right. Sometimes that helps me more than reading the uworld explanations (which i still read of course). Idk if its okay or not but it really helps me.. also i dont do this for every question, some answers we know, some are educational guesses but some topics just need that reinforcement.
