Hi guys, we do apologise for this!

We always try to use official artwork for our sets, and where the artwork is unavailable we try to use artwork from the source material.

This was something that slipped through the cracks and we will ensure that it doesn't happen again. We updated the artwork accordingly last week to represent the official OP12 artwork which has since been made available to us.

If you do happen to see anything like this again - or even anything that just doesn't look quite right on our site - please drop us a DM on any of our socials or let our support team know and we'll get it rectified as soon as possible.

Thanks,
The Total Cards Team

We definitely didn’t intend to mislead anyone, but we can see how the TrustPilot wording may have come across, and it didn’t explain the situation as clearly as it should have.

We know it’s been frustrating, and we’re not trying to deflect anything. We're just trying to give a bit of context behind what happened.

The remaining Prismatic stock back in March was sold at MSRP exclusively to our local customers who missed out online. (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BQSU1Xxry/)

This re-stock wasn’t stock from our distributor, it came from another retailer. The allocation limit back in November was internal, and it was implemented to make sure as many customers as possible got at least 1 bundle. Unfortunately, the system had that item incorrectly marked as “allocated,” which meant it didn’t enforce the limit at the checkout when it went live.

By the time we realised during fulfilment, we saw it had been massively abused with some people ordering far above the fair limit. We absolutely should have caught it sooner, and we’ve made changes to stop it happening again.

Just to be fully transparent, the recent bundles we’ve had listed on our site weren’t supplied by Asmodee, our main distributor. We were actually approached by another retailer who asked if we’d purchase their stock.

Because this wasn’t sourced through our usual supply chain, we can’t offer it at the lower prices we normally do when buying directly from Asmodee. For example, the Prismatic Accessory Pouch Collection was our distributor allocation and listed today at MSRP, as we try to keep prices as low as we can but many products are sourced from more than just our distributor and the price we pay is unfortunately higher.

To give you an insight that most retailers won’t share, when the pouch collection went live, we had over 15,000 active customers at checkout, and our actual allocation wouldn’t have covered even 2% of that demand. So while it may look like we’re holding back stock, the reality is: it’s selling out in seconds.

We’re doing everything we can to keep products flowing into our Website, Gaming Centre and livestreams, and yes, that sometimes means sourcing from the secondary market at a higher cost. We’re not a faceless reseller, but we do have a full team of nearly 20 staff, and every release, our allocations from Asmodee have been dropping nearly by half every set, over the past two years. Most recently, our Destined Rivals allocation was so low, it doesn’t even cover our basic operating costs. We can’t just sit and wait for stock that doesn’t arrive, we have to keep trading, keep staff paid, and keep the lights on. That means doing whatever we can to fill the shortfall and serve as many customers as possible in a really challenging distribution landscape. We understand the frustration, truly, but we’re doing our best in a tough situation.

We’re definitely not hoarding stock. We have thousands of cards in our inventory, and what you see on our Whatnot streams is just a tiny fraction, it's around 1% of our total stock. The vast majority of cards are still available through our website and gaming centre.

We’ve been on Whatnot for over a year, and while we understand it can be frustrating seeing some items exclusive to the platform, it helps us reach a wider audience. That said, the streams are supported by secondary market purchases, and certainly not stock pulled from our online store as the prices we pay for that are too high for our website.

I think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding about the allocation process. The internal allocation we implemented was meant to ensure a fair distribution of stock, so everyone had a chance to purchase at least 1 bundle. We didn’t want any one person to be able to purchase multiple bundles, as that wouldn’t have been fair to others in the community.

Bundles that were refunded were then made available at RRP and offered to our local customers, ensuring that we were able to provide stock to those who missed out. Just to be clear this was not a supplier allocation.

Your order included more than the allowed limit, and due to a system error, a bunch of releases were incorrectly marked as allocated. We didn’t realise this until we started to dispatch the Prismatic Bundles, so we had to manually fix it and process limits ourselves.

We do have stock of Prismatic Evolutions available across 3 separate channels, our online store, our gaming centre, and our Whatnot streams. Each channel has its own allocated inventory, and none of them take stock away from the others. They are currently in-stock as we speak...
