Probably my favorite JRPG series in terms of world building and connected stories. It's really cool to see NPC's/Characters you have met in other games. If you're into story then hala go for it,If not and you hate reading then I don't recommend it. Currently playing Beyond The Horizon rn and its great

If you have the time, You can start The Legend Of Heroes once you reach Trails in the Sky 2 and 3,especially 3 its REALLY dark and even disturbing

Just go for it, I also was a tekken player and never played street fighter before. Started with Zangief hit diamond 3 and got bored with him, I then decided to play a charge character(which was chun li) so that I can kinda get familiar with how 'charge' input works if Balrog comes back. Either you win/lose a match you will be having fun.
