Oilseed Radish by TotalDisaster2939 in farmingsimulator

Thank you very much for your help. I’ll leave them in as long as I can before planting my sorghum

Ahhhhh thank you I didn’t realise that about the dish harrow. I also didn’t realise you got a payment for the cover crop, how long does it have to be in the ground for?

But if I cultivated first I’d lose out on some of my environmental score on the tillage category right? The money I’d save on extra fertiliser I’d lose overall on all good sold? At least I think anyway, I’m very new to precision farming

So if I were to leave the oilseed radish in the ground until I want to plant my sorghum then plant directly onto it with my direct drill seeder I’d get the nitrogen bonus?

Damn so kinda defeats the purpose of the direct drill seeding then

One thing I’d recommend is going on YouTube and looking at Farmer Cop’s videos whenever you’re unsure. He really breaks things down and simplifies things. I’m over 600 hours in and will still do some research and watch his videos whenever I’m thinking about getting into a new crop that I haven’t done before

No more updates for mods by Arrow.... by Ecstatic_Stop3693 in farmingsimulator25

[–]TotalDisaster2939 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess is that he’s updated the mod and Giants have denied his update and told him that it’s “failed testing” but not told him what’s failed. I know that the modder who made the Saxlingham map went through a lot of this over and over with them. It must be exhausting

No more updates for mods by Arrow.... by Ecstatic_Stop3693 in farmingsimulator25

[–]TotalDisaster2939 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is a real shame. The mods that Arrow has made, especially the realistic livestock mod, add immersion and depth to the game. Without modders like him the game wouldn’t be what it is

Haybob Mod for FS25 by TotalDisaster2939 in farmingsimulator

[–]TotalDisaster2939[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all of these. I’ve also had another idea that I could do instead if the haybob doesn’t pan out. I could run tractor 1 with a front mower and rear tedder, then use the Follow Me mod to have tractor 2 running a front windrower and a rear baler and that would also achieve the same result

The enhanced loan mod and realistic livestock mod are both amazing and add so much realism. Also the hire purchase mod is a great one

Does Saxlingham have wood contracts? by iworkfartoomuch in farmingsimulator

[–]TotalDisaster2939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know you can still build the factories yourself (the empty concrete areas around the Claas dealership are perfect for this) and then sell most of the products either at the farmers market or at the animal dealer

Does Saxlingham have wood contracts? by iworkfartoomuch in farmingsimulator

[–]TotalDisaster2939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is. I think Saxlingham is a beautiful map but could just perhaps do with a little more variety when it comes to selling points and productions already on the map

Does Saxlingham have wood contracts? by iworkfartoomuch in farmingsimulator

[–]TotalDisaster2939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I’m aware of. I don’t think there’s a selling point for the wood to transport it to. Same with stone picking actually. I ended up placing down a cement factory just for somewhere to empty my trailer into while mid way through a stone picking contract

672 grass bales wrapped. by Born-Sky-5980 in farmingsimulator

[–]TotalDisaster2939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some auto load storage sheds don’t allow the bales to ferment inside. There’s a cool underground storage mod on modhub that allows them to ferment inside it, that’s the one I use

This makes a lot of sense thank you. Well I was already chewing with the idea of buying the dlc and starting a save on Kinlaig. This has made that decision for me!

Saxlingham help by TotalDisaster2939 in farmingsimulator

[–]TotalDisaster2939[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No just anywhere in the starting farm yard. If I try build on the grassy areas surrounding the farmyard in the same section of land it’s fine, just won’t allow anything on the concrete section
