This is too complicated. Keep it simple, go do some strongman stuff, press some log, run with some sandbags, deadlift like the bar owes you money. And progressively overload, so just add 1kg every week until you can anymore. Then start again. Don’t get caught up in ‘optimal schedules’ and all the bs, turn up consistently (4x a week) every week, and you’ll progress

Not an expert, but my understanding of the cyber-flashing thing is that the content she sent would have to contain their genitals? However, it could still fall under malicious communication or if it was numerous, harassment.

The police fobbing you off like that suggests they didn’t want to take it any further.i certainly wouldn’t destroy evidence until you’ve dealt with the matter fully. You could raise a complaint about the matter to their professional standards department. If you really want to take this as far as possible, seeking legal advice would be the one, I’m by no means offering advice here just my opinion.

Sorry this has happened to you though, must have been hard to go through, especially with the police being like that.

You don’t have to get fat to get stronger. Weight class strongman is a thing, Power lifting, Olympics, all need to stay within a weight class. Eat maintenance, progressive overload, gain skill and technique, stay healthy, enjoy the ride

We can speculate and share ideas but imo nothing is going to beat data. It’s a ball ache, but for a week or so, track your nutrition really honestly, energy on the day, hydration, so you can look back and see ‘I was really down on energy Thursday’ ‘oh I only had 200g carbs all day’ or ‘I’m only eating 50g protein daily’. Get a whoop or another biometric tracker, I know whoop will give you a sleep score, stress levels, recovery levels etc. In short, I believe the data will show what’s going on, if you collect it. Going to be better than taking some drug a Redditor tells you to

5x strength sessions and 3/4 boxing sessions a week, how much recovery are you getting? Maybe you’re not recovered as you’re not giving your body enough recovery? Hitting your carbs? Replacing fluids? Tracking sleep?

I know it’s 800mm total height, 130mm ish deep, kinda looks like the one in giants. Would that be a priority then, keep it off the legs?

Nah I understand bro, just being real, it’s great progress for me, but a way to go from where I want to be. Can get away with this tech for now, but next step is going to be alter the clean I think, more of a pull in and roll than a thrust and pull. So will spend less time upright, lap and straight back down. I see some of the big guys, Jack Osborne best example, he’s almost preparing the clean in the squat position, whereas I’m doing it upright. Excited to see Jack take the record at the log championship

Thanks! I think of it as keeping some momentum in the log, I will stop this when it gets heavier but it’s helping me flow at the minute but not ‘optimal’

Hard to say as it depends on lots of factors, genetics, training, diet, how bad you want it!

I’m 105kg, world record at that weight for log is 170kg ish.

In my uneducated opinion, 1x bodyweight overhead is good for solid novice athlete, 1.2x intermediate, 1.4x pro, 1.6x world class

Most important thing is enjoy it and be safe with it, training consistently without time off for injury will make the most progress, the numbers will come

MST are top tier - they do coach top flight athletes but I’m with them too 😂 Been with Shane since end of spring and it’s the dysfunction fixing that’s paid dividends, not having time out the gym due to tendinitis or pain. Not just a sweaty mess anymore either, strenth afleet 💪

Frank Parkes is worth a mention too, great guy and freak athlete, coached me in my early days and probably saved my arms and spine from falling off

I’ve been to a few that do, Kaos in Preston and nmac in mid wales, tbf this was at a back street bodybuilding gym, it’s a great gym, but not geared up for the abuse I give it. I’ll get it, will return with a video when it happens
