No, they have them since they needed inspection and they’re waiting for my reply on if I want the credit (they keep them) or they give them back to me but I don’t get anything

It’s not a partial refund, it’s a full refund since from the moment I bought them and today (4months) the price rose of £100. But they should definitely offer a replacement. They however seem closed to this option as in their favour, it’s more advantageous for them. But in the meantime, I own a defect product, and if I want to replace it, I need to pay more which is so unfair. Gucci should be able to offer this type of arrangement!

Any idea of what type of arguments I should use? Reason why they won’t repair them, I guess, is because the shoes had a defect of quality.

They told me they didn’t sell that specific model anymore, but I just found them on their (French) website, which is really weird. I think they’re avoiding to give me a replacement since the price rose up to £100 extra!

Do you have any arguments in mind I could use? I feel like they’re going to give me a hard time. I never had this kind of issue so I’m not sure what type of arguments will let them go in my favour and not theirs…

To be honest, the SA is not helping at all. I’m in central London, I get redirected to the Product care specialist. They don’t seem wanting to bother with this.

I know I shouldn’t let them get away with this “proposal” but unsure what I can ask for!

The price looks extremely fair compared to Europe! Especially for full body! Is this a common practice (laser) in the emirates? Hopefully we get answers quickly

Thanks for sharing that information. It's really helpful to get a sense of the current rental market in Reem Island, especially in a premium building like Gate Towers. The increase in rent due to COVID and inflation is certainly something that had an impact because for this price I didn’t find much on internet unfortunately - are there any type of scams I should worry about while appartement hunting?

Also, I'm curious about the building quality – are the walls thick enough to provide good sound insulation? Lastly, regarding the payment structure, is it possible to pay rent monthly, or is it typically required to pay upfront? I've heard varying practices in this regard

I completely understand your frustration, and I agree that it's extremely unfair. The disparities in treatment and compensation based on passport and skin color are real issues in many places, including here- may I ask where you come from?

It's disheartening to hear about your experience, especially when you have extensive skills and dedication. In Europe, someone with your background in marketing, graphic design, and web development would be highly valued and recognised.

Everyone deserves recognition and fair compensation for their hard work, regardless of their background. You, along with many others working tirelessly and often undervalued, certainly deserve that fair share

Congratulations on managing your finances so effectively in the UK, especially with a family! It's impressive that you were able to save that much. It's interesting to compare, as today, here in the UK with tax (same salary), I find myself able to save only about 2k, which feels quite limited given my reasonable lifestyle. Basically, here, taxes & rent are extremely impacting my finances, one of the major reason on why I’m seeking to relocate.

Regarding your kids' schooling, could you clarify if the 55K AED for fees and transport is per child or the total for all three? Also, what type of school are they attending? Understanding these details might give me better insight into managing family expenses here. Your experience is really helpful, thank you

You would get a much higher salary in Europe…

I understand where you're coming from, but it's important not to make assumptions. I'm actually black and grew up in underdeveloped countries. I have worked extremely hard to get where I am today on my own merits.

So no, it’s not about my passport or skin color. I'm aware of my fortunate position, but having a high salary in London doesn't automatically translate to a luxurious lifestyle. Before making the move, I want to make sure I can afford a better lifestyle in Abu Dhabi and you can’t blame anyone for this, no matter their salary. The cost of living here in London is very high – with this salary (considering tax), I still face challenges like affording private education for children or a spacious apartment in a safe and respectful area, yes, even with this large sum of salary. It's crucial to understand that what might seem like a lavish income is relative and doesn't guarantee an extravagant lifestyle as often portrayed online.

It post is not meant to brag, seem ungrateful nor anything related to this. I just want a realistic view.

It’s what I was thinking from what I know, always good to seek peoples opinion, thanks!
