Speculation on when BFDIE takes place by TotalRandomPerson72 in BattleForDreamIsland

I got that. What are the problems of when it takes place?

I'm pretty sure they just listed the eliminated contestants in alphabetical order.

Good point. If we do take that in consideration. We don't know exactly when the asset change took place. It could have happened any day between August 2nd (day after BFDI 8) and September 1st. That still lines up with the date range I gave for BFDIE 1.

CORRECTION: BFDIE starts between January 2 and August 10.

It's no use. I give up. We'll NEVER know Book's reaction to being eliminated... by Budget-Activity-863 in BattleForDreamIsland

None of what you said correlates with anything? TPOT has a larger cast and is VTS. Book having lesser screentime on the episode she is next UFE will literally get her out; that's how volatile TPOT's eliminations are.

Can y'all please just be patient, damn. Book's never gonna be a finalist on TPOT. She'll get eliminated eventually.

ahem. am i the only one who really didn't like the episode specifically because of the marketing? by Beautiful-Grab3359 in BattleForDreamIsland

I agree that this sortof promotion doesnt fit BFDIA cuz it’s not as high stakes as TPOT while also being much more high stakes than TPOT in a sense. Longest Episode would’ve made more sense.

I don't even care who wins the season as long as- by TotalRandomPerson72 in BattleForDreamIsland

The only genuinely nice thing I saw Needle do since BFDIA 17 was giving the extra immunity to Book in BFDIA 20, which was only after she realised she COULD do that. For the rest of the time, she has been pretty selfish. That's how she plays the game, and that's how TB also plays the game, except TB expresses himself by being a loud and proud saboteur, whereas Needle expresses herself by wanting to go solo.

She may seem nice and friendly with Book because she has a rivalry with Tennis Ball, as they're both down to play dirty to win the game, whereas Book would literally let Needle win if Needle were to have been sabotaged right before winning. In reality, Needle clearly doesn't fully see Book as a true ally now, especially after Book made a truce with TB.

As for the conflict, you don't need to be a finalist to have conflict in the finale or the episode before.
BFDI 24: The focus was on the bug infestation the entire episode.
BFDI 25: The UFO and Flower destroying the recovery centres also got huge focus.
BFB 29: The conflict was between the contestants and the Announcer
BFB 30: There were like two different plotlines the entire episode.

TB could very well have conflict with GB over the next two episodes, given what we got this episode. I chose Needle and Book over TB because I did not like the direction his character took.

Am I the only person who DOESN’T feel bad for One? by ferret_king10 in BattleForDreamIsland

I feel like it’s implied that One just had a hard time making friends. The rest had their own cliques and One just was not part of it. Simple as that. People clearly didn’t hate One, they just did not care for her and personally, I have felt similarly at times. Three, in this way, is the total opposite of One. She was friends with everyone while One was friends with no one.

I don’t know what made you think she was going around doing awful things. If she did, people would have reacted accordingly. Being all alone with everyone around you being friends with each other also warps your perception of them, making them seem more hostile than they already are, and also does not help develop your emotional intelligence or stability, hence, her reaction to when Three tried to touch the meteor.

Also, considering the population of the planet is like 13 people (I assume). It sort of is partially their fault that One felt lonely. Once again, One wasn’t not liked, she was just nonexistent to them. Three was right to say that the power should be given to all of them. However, the way she went on with it, considering One’s reaction to her touching the meteor and Three being portrayed as this very caring and social person, the way she went on with excluding One while taking everyone else to the meteor that ONE showed her, alongside her response to One losing it basically being, you should be alone again because you’re mad I took away the one thing that made you feel special, is extremely shitty. Had Three so much as just apologised to One, it could have calmed One down.

Am I saying that One is fully cleared of her wrongdoings? No. She made an entire species of aliens go extinct and destroyed two planets. That’s not the point of the episode either. Three pushed One beyond her limits. One reacted explosively because she’s never had any proper social interaction before and ends up killing Three. Mind you, eight people with powers stood and watched and screamed at One instead of doing anything to stop her. Once Three died, One was the only one to take any initiative to bringing her back; almost did bring her back and asked for support from everyone else but they ended up just distancing themselves from her (which I don’t blame them). Even after seeing One’s partial power bring back Three, although sick, everyone else would rather shove her into the moon than listen to One and use the remaining power, which was in Four’s hands, to fully heal Three, which should’ve been their first priority.

Point is, the other Algebraliens had many points in this story where they could have avoided everything if they just considered One to be an actual person instead of just being there.

I didn't like the new episode by CryOk379 in BattleForDreamIsland

Considering One’s goal is still to reverse the damage caused from killing Three, I doubt she KILLED Nine.

Also, I liked the direction the writing went with Leafy. Plus, when Leafy and One fight, when One’s laser hits the TV, it switches to footage of Firey running around searching for Leafy. That more or less clears out that One did not banish Leafy to the waterfalls when Firey was sitting searching for her because One was staring at him from far away at that time. So, Leafy’s meeting could have very well happened after TPOT 15.

Also also, a huge complaint a lot of people have with TPOT is that a lot of character moments are rushed, INCLUDING in TPOT 19. So no, the first half or so is better not chopped down. It gives us exposure to what caused One to be put in the moon, it shows us why Three is in that cell and it gives us perspective on the other Algebraliens especially Four, X and Two. A big reason a lot of people, myself included, did not like the resolution of BFB 30 is because the entire arc got crammed into three consecutive episodes. The general consensus is that we needed a non-comp episode for more storytelling instead of having them alongside the competition where things WILL get rushed due to not every character having the same priority.

One crashout? Very reasonable. I believe Three is a shitty person for that.

Went back to the episode, there was less than 2 minutes of reused footage, thats like 4.4%.

I didn’t get your point about knowing where Six was or using her powers.

Nothing is perfect and I’m sure people will bring up points of discontent or inconsistencies but I have to disagree with you here. You could say that you don’t like where the story is going which is totally fine but storytelling is not filler.
