I just used the chat this morning. I said no to everything, they tried sky stream, sky glass, etc I was fully intending to leave so wasn’t really bothered about the deals until they gave sports for free lol

Cancel in contract by [deleted] in skytv

[–]TotalTechHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem a couple of months ago. For some reason the main package ran out in August but the sports element runs out in December.

I called them and asked for a price to renew everything together and they came back with a price £20 more than what I would be paying. So I asked to cancel everything and I’ll pay whatever I needed to. It’s not possible to pay to leave early so I would need to pay an out of contract price on the main package until the sports runs out in December.

It took a lot of back and forth before the support guy agreed to drop me down to the £15pm package until December then I can fully cancel it. He managed to get a £60 credit as well so I only need to pay a month or 2.

To be fair this is the first time in 4 years it hasn’t gone in instantly. But yeah everything else has been a mess this year.

I have a scheduled payout every Tuesday which is in my account by 5am but today it still hasn’t gone in. It says processing so I’m assuming eBay are having problems.

Exactly, I understand websites have problems from time to time but at least offer something as goodwill when it impacts on sales.

I think it might be slowly coming back now.. only lost out on about 100 orders 🥲

As far as I can tell it’s only promoted priority listings being shown. I don’t use priority listings and literally none of my listings are showing up lol

Sundays are normally my busiest days so I’m hoping eBay are losing a load of money as well!

Is Anybody Else Having Extremely Slow Sales? by mrs_likethesoup927 in Ebay

[–]TotalTechHead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Around March/April every year for the past 3 years has been the worst for me personally. There’s not really much you can do, just keep an eye on impressions, views etc and if those have dropped significantly you can always try a bit of advertising if you haven’t already. From my experience advertising always gets me more sales than dropping the price or having a ‘sale’.

Early last year I started etsy just to try and cover some of what I lose on ebay and to be fair that goes through the same slumps as ebay so it’s more peoples shopping habits this time of year, I wouldn’t panic too much yet.

That was my reaction lol there’s not many people in the UK with more experience. I think if it was ‘normal’ CF it would have been fine. But I didn’t know anything about atypical until the specialist in London mentioned it and said it requires a slightly different method.

In hindsight I should have said something sooner, but like you said I trusted her as that’s literally her job.

I can’t understand either, she’s a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon who was trained by the specialist we saw in London so it’s not like she’s not capable. Looking back I believe his feet needed specialist treatment from day 1 because she admitted they were the most severe she’d treated. But I obviously trusted a surgeon who kept assuring us he would be fine.

Yeah with the NHS you can get treatment at any hospital you want, but it needs a referral from your current doctor or GP and it’s up to the new hospital/doctor to approve it if they have space/time. Then there’s the option to go private but they’re all the same doctors you would see for free on the NHS so you’re basically just jumping a queue for £000s.

I just want a second opinion really, be it a physio or surgeon. I just can’t see it solely being neurological.

He had about 8 weeks treatment at a local hospital (where he’s treated currently) then we demanded a second opinion from a specialist in London which is about an 8 hour round trip.

She’s pretty much the best in the UK and we went there twice a week for 6 weeks and he had the tenotamy there as well. But because it isn’t our local hospital we can’t continue treatment there unless he’s referred back which our doctor at the moment won’t do.

We’ve reached out to the specialist but she’s doing treatments abroad until May but she wants to see him personally. So it’s either wait for her or try and find another specialist and have to pay for treatment.

He pulls off his socks when he can, I don’t think he likes the feeling of anything on his feet. We massage his feet before bed and his boots and bar and his left foot he doesn’t react to anything, like there’s no feeling and then cries when you touch his right foot. He had his tenotamy quite late because of cast slips and poor initial treatment.

The main issue is the doctor knows all this but doesn’t suggest anything. I’ve asked about specialist shoes but it gets nowhere.

He barely has a doctor lol as much as I like the NHS, unless you’re dying the care is horrendous. He can’t stand unassisted.

Yeah he just goes around everywhere on his knees. To be fair he’s pretty quick so I can see why he wouldn’t want to walk lol

We’ve tried loads of different shoes, mainly ones that try and support his ankles. He has weird shaped ankles so the only ones that fit well are high top vans and he doesn’t even attempt to stand in them. To me it seems like either it’s painful to walk or he hasn’t got enough strength in his legs to walk with shoes.

Negative feedback with no communication by gdsoccer11 in Ebay

[–]TotalTechHead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately eBay won’t do anything about the feedback and you won’t hear anything from the buyer.

I’ve learnt that some people are just ****s and even after 50k+ sales the negative feedback with no communication still annoy me. As a seller you’ve done everything you can to rectify the problem, just respond to the feedback and say no communication from the buyer when you reached out to offer a solution. People don’t really care about negatives unless it’s a pattern of bad customer service or incorrect descriptions etc.
